And I see SLI and expect to see this:RotR is the attraction I am most excited for, but to say MF:SR is not innovative is really underselling it.
Nvidia created new graphic processors for this attraction. MF:SR is the first attraction to use full real-time video rendering that changes based on the input of the guests.

The turntable load system is also a first. Even though that is mostly for capacity it also creates the illusion of a single cockpit.
As far as being impressive, I think the full-size MF, detailed queue, 2nd most advanced AA at WDW (Hondo), and the rumored changing exit based on your flight performance are pretty impressive.
I know you aren’t trashing the ride. I just want to point out some of it’s innovations you might have missed.

Any chance to crap on SLI and I'll take it.
Of course it's all in good fun though!

This sequence looked good in the official promos, but I figured that was not what we would get in the finished product. I still think the light speed in the original Star Tours was the best IMO.Nit picky thing, but I found the animation on the light speed part to seem a little off.
SR was truly amazing to me! The queue, preshow, and ride itself is extraordinary. I wouldn't mind if people say it is the best ride that Disney has made in a while. These Imagineers were hitting some rough spots at Disneyland with Pixar Pier, GOTG:MB, Tomorrowland, etc... and SWL really pushed up their level of greatness back up where it used to be. It will be the same with WDW. SWL will be amazing and give a big boost to DHS as the let down of Toy Story Land, sadness of the Incredible plaza, and more droopy shows and rides give DHS a bad reputation. SW:GE is everything a theme park fan would ask for as there are interactive experiences, fun shops, breathtaking rides, and so much more. To me, SR is amazing and it should be taken with great pride and pleasure. To call this ride a disappointment and not fun would be a huge lie for the people who have not done the ride. Just wait till ROTR opens! Two of Disney's best rides will be up and running for the public and make theme park history!
So is there ANY trace or hint of Han Solo in, you know, his own ship?
Correct the attraction is set post The Last Jedi. Chewbacca brought the Falcon to Batuu for repairs. Hondo has borrowed it for some missions carrying cargo.I believe this land is set after Han Solo has died. Chewbacca is seen in the ride.
I'm pretty sure the entire land will become "Any SW character the public has requested" within a couple of years. And eventually Jedi Mickey and Princess Lightyear will show up. 99% of the park guests couldn't care less about the backstory.I guarantee sometime in the future they will have "Galaxy's Edge Legacy Night" A night where the original trilogy characters roam the city as they once did during the time of the Empire.

Depends where you look. I have seen very positive reviews and reviews not so positive.Have there been any over the top positive reviews? I've really only seen middling reviews which is disconcerting.
Can you point me to some of the glowing reviews?Depends where you look. I have seen very positive reviews and reviews not so positive.
There was one review on a site not allowed here that said it was amazing. Tim Tracker has said it was amazing. Other media on twitter said it was great. Can you point me to some of the glowing reviews?
Just so that I'm understanding this, we were originally told 3 different missions, is it only debuting with one with the others rolling out later? Has Disney said anything official here?
That would not be surprising, because Tracker is essentially part of the Disney PR department. Free trips around the world and early access is contingent on reporting in a certain style.Tim Tracker has said it was amazing.
