I have to admit I am a BIG milkshake fan LOL, and in past trips I have had problems in finding locations at WDW that serve great shakes. Do any of you guys have an recommendations on places around WDW for shakes? Thanks!
Beaches and Cream at Yacht and Beach. You can sip the shake while watching other people try to eat the Kitchen Sink. While you're there, you might as well get a burger too!:slurp:
Boardwalk had wonderful shakes and floats. The best smoothies we found were at Auntie Gravities in MK. If you haven't tried them, you are missing out. Speaking of trying things that are a must....
In Epcot, the Caramel Mocha Cappuchino smoothie was to die for. They put all this caramel and whipped cream and espresso and cappuchino smoothie....I can't even describe it. The sweet italian guy who made it for me was laughing when I said I was going to stay with him for the rest of the day. It was the best thing I ever found there. It sounded good so I though, I'll try it. Then watching him make this I was drooling. Everyone walking by me after I had asked me what it was and all of a sudden the guy had a line a mile long for them.
I've heard that sci fi had great shakes, but what about counter service type places?
I had the best chocolate shake ever at Ghirardelli it even had whipped cream and a cherry and was served in a cool old fashioned milkshake glass. mmmmmmmmm :slurp:
I was thinking the same thing. I now have it in my head to jump in the car and get a nice Milkshake someplace. I have lots of willpower, but still no won't power.
I'll have to vote against Beaches & Cream. The chocolate shake I had was made with chocolate ice cream, instead of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I vastly prefer the latter.
I suppose you could request the way you would like it made.
Yes, the kitchen sinks at B&C are large. However, they're still piddling little compared to the ORIGINAL kitchen sink at Jan's Ice Cream in Brooklyn. (Long gone, alas! I think there's a new Jan's, but I don't think that it's run by the same folks, and I don't have lots of info on it. Any Brooklyn folk out there to verify?) Imagine, if you will, many quarts of ice cream in basically a table-bussing tub. Only got to see one once, but my father consumed many with his high school friends way back in the day....
