Military Tickets

My family and I are going down to wdw May 14th-19th. My FIL is retired military. I was just wondering how many people have gotten the military tickets and exactly were do you go to get them. I have heard the main gate, but I also heard you had to go to Shades of Green. Just wondering how difficult this is and if everybody has to be there with him to get the 5 extra tickets.

someone more informed than me will probably get to this.. but just in case..

you can buy them at a base or at shades of green. we got ours at a reserve base near us..... they had to order them and they came in within 2 days and we picked them up... you can not BUY them at a gate.

You don't have to all be present to purchase the tickets.....just your FIL can do that. but they do state you have to all be there when you activate them... you activate them at the gate of any park and also know someone who had luck at downtown Disney, which is what we are going to try.

You can buy the military tickets at all ticket offices at Disney (including TTC), guest services at Disney (including Downtown Disney), Shades of Green, or your local base ITT office.

The benefit to buying them at Shades of Green, or your base, is you won't pay tax.:)
