You don't have to do it in person. Go to the Shades of Green website and you can fill in a PDF and email it to them. They'll call you to verify information and card, and you'll get an email with the tickets that you can attach to your MDE account.I wish WDW would offer veterans a discount. Dollywood recently moved to ID.ME so you can now get the veteran discount online (for day tix and season passes) without having to go in person to get the discount.
They were talking about Dollywood tickets, not Disney. You don't have to do it in person. Go to the Shades of Green website and you can fill in a PDF and email it to them. It looked like he was asking about WDW tickets, at least that was how I read it.They were talking about Dollywood tickets, not Disney.
Sorry I was not more clear. In regards to ID.ME I was referring to a recent change Dollywood made in regards to getting the veteran discount online. It looked like he was asking about WDW tickets, at least that was how I read it.
That is for the military discount, right? Nothing for veterans through Shades of Green, is there? You don't have to do it in person. thanks for the pointer! I read through and as a veteran without a disability and non-retiree it appears I can only book in January and September during the special windows.
My apologies as I was not aware of the non-retiree restrictions. You can only get the military discounts in September or January if you are a non-retired veteran.
Disney does not offer any discounts for veterans.
Shades of Green is amazing, but non-retired veterans can only stay there September and January.
If you have one nearby and can get on base, you can access the DoD discounted tickets even as a non-retired veteran. It's not as much savings as Military Salute, but it is about $100 off per ticket for me each time I purchase through the MWR.I wish WDW would offer veterans a discount. Dollywood recently moved to ID.ME so you can now get the veteran discount online (for day tix and season passes) without having to go in person to get the discount.
Just be aware -- most base MWRs will need to see a valid military ID before selling you tickets. If you have one nearby and can get on base, you can access the DoD discounted tickets even as a non-retired veteran.
I am a DoD civilian and I’m able to purchase these tickets with my CAC. My MWR says military veterans without ID can purchase them as well. You just have to be able to get a guest pass to get on base (which I’m sure you can get? I have non retired friends who get on base just to access the commissary?) Adding a screenshot from my local base MWR. I would Google your local base MWR to view pricing and compare to WDW prices to be sure it’s a savings for you.Do you know if a DD214 would be accepted?
Not usually.Do you know if a DD214 would be accepted?

Again,- for me- these prices are about a $100 per ticket savings. Not $200 or more like military salute.
