Mid-July vs. Mid-August

Good morning, I am new here so if this is posted in the wrong forum I apologize in advance. I originally booked a WDW vacation for mid August (August 11th to the 17th to be exact) because my wife works in the school system and it seemed that the middle to late part of August crowds start to decline as kids go back to school. I considered July because July is much lighter in terms of my work schedule but decided with August because of the crowds. Recent crowd calendar updates (for what they are worth) have the two time periods closer than I thought they would be though. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst the parks we would do in August have the following crowd levels Epcot (6), MK (6), and MK (5) with “Overall” levels on those days being 7,6,6. Looking at July we would be seeing levels of Epcot (2), MK (5), MK (7) with overall levels being 3, 5, 7 on those days. Does anyone have experience with going in July vs August? Am I wrong or is the difference in those levels not much at all? Going in July would be easier logistically

Weather wise not much different between July and August it's going to be hot hot hot and humid. Crowd calendars can be deceiving if July is better for you logistically I'd go in July

I've been in both mid July and mid August.
I have to say I prefer August.
Especially due to weather.
The couple of July trips I had it rained all day every day and the area had the entire month's worth of rain by the middle of the month.
Any time I've been in August the weather has been extremely predictable with rain only in the afternoon.
I don't follow crowd calendars. I don't like crowd calendars.
Its going to be busy no matter what time of year you go anymore.
There really isn't much of a slow time.
The scale no longer means much.
Go when is best for your schedule.

The difference in the feel of the parks really isnt going to be that much different as crowds are fairly high anyway, so if your stress level concerning your job will be less then go in July. Work you leave behind can weigh on your mind a lot when youre on vacation so make it more pleasant on yourself and enjoy Disney more by going at a less stressed time.
