Has anybody heard of a date when our beloved town of "Mickey's Toontown Fair" will be closing up for good?
Happy to see the Fantasyland expansion, sad to see MTTF go bye-bye.
:slurp: :veryconfu

This bums me out for the people that really love Toon town fair. Its not a must see for me, but I know people like it alot. I hope the new Mickey M&G is really grand to make up for it.

....beloved? Since when?
Exactly what I was going to say.
A tacked-on, "temporary" land that's light on the theming, and too small to accomplish much? Beloved?
Nah.

Now Toontown at Disneyland....that is somethig that would be missed.
The "Fair"....nope.

Does anyone know if there are any future plans for the "houses"? My kids keep asking "Where's Mickey and Minnie going to sleep at night?" That's really all they'll miss, and honestly, me too. Lots of memories walking through them with the fam through the years.... Just wondering.

Yeah, If you'll miss it, that's too bad.
But it was a steaming pile of dog doo.

I love the Magic Kingdom, but pretty much all of Fantasyland has been an embarrassment for a long time.
Disneyland's version and Toon Town put it to shame.
Thank God for the coming changes.

I still won't spend much time in there, but at least it's being improved.

I won't "miss" it, but I will spend a lot of time there on my June vacation. I am not excited about most of the Fantasyland Expansion, but hopefully it will be an improvement over the Fair.

Well, you can assure your kids that Mickey & Minnie's regular homes are still intact and doing well at Disneyland. WDW only had their "country" houses, kinda like their vacation homes. Their *regular* houses are in Anaheim.
(Which is part of the reason for the way the land is named... Anaheim has Toontown. WDW has Toontown Fair, set out in the country... So Mickey and Minnie can have a house in each place without it supposedly being the *same* house...)

So in other words-DEMO'd never to be seen again. Very well, we'll just have to make a trip to DL in the future.
Thank you for the explanation of the houses. I didn't realize there was such a background. I'm not sure they'll get a "country house" so I'll use a "lake house" comparative. Maybe then they won't be so concerned. They thought they would be homeless!

My son's first coaster was barnstormers just after he turned 2, he's since moved on to BTMRR and Splash mtn since he's 4 but he still likes barnstormer. I was also hoping to take our 2 yo daughter on it during our next trip but I don't know if she'll be tall enough. I hope she gets to ride it before it is closed for good.

It's still going to be there, just rethemed to a circus-type rollercoaster to match with Dueling Dumbos.
