no offense to grizz but rocket rods was of course a cool ride we have the same one at epcot called test track it was just there try at test track and the cars couldn't handle the speeds on the track and so they had to close the ride we don't want that at wdw belive me i'll take the good old tta or as i still like to call it wedway people mover over anything anyday.:sohappy:

thats not true rocket rods was made to be dl's version of test track but the track was wrong for it and the ride pods were too big but if they can use those for our test track it would be nice.
also i know this because there was a big article in it in a disney magazine that it was built on the same concept of test track.

true but why do we want another store for in the instance of mickey's star traders or the one at timekeeper to sell that trashy excuse of non-disney merchandise i mean i can understand if once this is all over and they connect this store like rumored to stitch and have more stitch stuff it would be a blessing :sohappy:

There are little to no similarities between Test Track and Rocket Rods. They both go fast, they both slow down and speed up, they were at one time both going to be sponsored by GM. That's it.

They used entirely different vehicles and ride technology.
Rocket Rods had no "show" other than a scenic view of Tomorrowland. Pity that the lack of funding led to the Rods being nickle and dimed to death. They had potential to be a huge draw, and perhaps a franchise attraction.
