Mickey's Star Traders????

Here on the News and Rumors board everyone keeps mentioning that Mickey's Star Traders is "walled off" or "closed". But I never read why it has been.

Is it closed for good?

Also--what about TTA? Does it still say, "Now approaching Mickey's Star Traders. They will be glad to rocketship your purchases to anywhere in the universe!"

TTA is one of my favorite rides. I know I'm nuts, but I love it. COP is closed part of the time and now Mickey's Star Traders? What is the future of TTA?

What I hear...

Due to construction on Stitch Escape, Star Traders has temporarily set up shop over in the Timekeeper queue.
When the work is done, expect it to move back.

TTA still has the Star Traders spiel. Mickey's Star Traders isn't going anywhere, it's just going under a little rehab so Stitch's Great Escape's theatres can exit into it. Also, the windows looking into Star Traders on the TTA have been covered up.

Obviously not closed for good, just down for a not-so-minor rehab. TTA still spiels it, it's only a 2 month or so rehab, no reason to alter TTA for that. CoP is NOT closed part of the time, and neither is Timekeeper, so all you people out there stop saying that! They are both open every day until further notice, which will not come until at least after Stitch opens.

Nah, I wish.

I was just feeling nostalgic for a GOOD ride, one that with the proper funding could have been GREAT.

Mind you, I would love to see these at WDW in some form.
How about zipping around Future World in the "Vehicle of the Future"? Sweeeeeeet!

oh great whats with all the shops are did they run out of room to put all there crappy non-disney (those wonderfully funny hawaiian shirts  ) merchandise in maybe w/ the lilo and stitch craze and the ride maybe it will give them some pull to put out more lilo and stitch merchandise i can tell ya there isn't enough to go around besides there is always stuff for the kids with characters but what about the adults i know i am not the only adult who is a kid at heart and loves lilo and stitch:sohappy:

:brick: I thought the forum members that have been there recently said it was open until "Stich" is done? ( Timekeeper/ COP )

That is why I can not picture it-- Maybe we can get IST CREW to take a picture for us when he goes to the parks next time? ( If he survived the concert and his sock skating incident ? Ha Ha ) Am I the only one confused??

Actually, it's quite a neat idea. I mean, while you're waiting in line for a show, why not shop?:hammer:

AMEN! I never personally rode Rocket Rods but I am more fascinated by this attraction than any other I never got to experience. I would love to see pictures of the load area (I haven't been able to find any) and more pics of the queue to Rocket Rods. And while I love TTA and I guess it should never be changed from what it is now, I believe that if Rocket Rods came to WDW it would probably be my favorite attraction in Tomorrowland. At least I've got some great on ride videos on my computer of RR. I guess that's better than nothing.

Oh that would be great. And yeah the more I think about it I would probably rather have TTA in it's place. But I do think that Rocket Rods is WAY too good of an idea to just abandon. A fast, innovative ride around an area of a park.

Rocket Rods was a total engineering failure. The track and structure were never designed to support vehicles traveling at high speeds. The attraction literally shook itself apart.
