I enjoyed both. Each ride is as different as could be from the other. IMO both attractions are shame free. Though Philarmagic will not have as many riders yodelling up their turkey legs and churros :animwink:

You also didn't understand me... WOW this is a bad day for talking......... :brick: :brick:
I didn't say I don't like M:S but from the reviews each one got, M:S has reached it's standards but with MP it topped them... This is just my opinion....
As for what I was saying, it's a shame we aren't getting new dark rides... That's all....:animwink:

OK - that now reads differently – Philarmagic exceeded your expectations :sohappy: and MS met them :) .

Glad you found Philarmagic better than you expected. Especially as we expect a lot from new Disney attractions.

I totally agree with the fact the Mission Space met it's expectations. It really is a good ride, and money well spent in my opinion. But like said before, when I walked off Mission Space for the first time, I felt no need to go back ever again. Mickey's Philarmagic made me want to go back, even when the show wasn't even over yet. Phillarmagic definetly deserved more attention, because it went way past my expectations and I think alot of peoples.

I can't help but think that the fact that Philharmagic wasn't advertised more may just be the reason it is surpassing expectations ;) If MP had been hyped as much as MS and MS had gotten little attention, you can bet MS would have surpassed all expectations and MP would have fallen short. But alas, they pushed the one they spent the most on. ;)

Both Mission:Space and Mickey's Phillarmagic are awesome attrction that capture the true essence of Disney. Mission:Space combines never before seen technology and realistic storytelling to create an attraction that is cutting-edge and very Disney like. Mickey's Phillarmagic is also awesome. My mom came in not expecting what it was and was amazed by the end. The effcets are tasteful and the realestic while the wrrap around screen is very tight. Don't forget about "Wishes" which IMO is the most fantasy-esque and outstaning forwroks show ever. (Our whole family was blown away by the recent additions my dad- Mission:Space.... mom- mickey's phillar- the whole family- WISHES
:sohappy:

Lines are pretty bad for Philarmagic, sometimes going into 45 min. But that is b/c you can get a fastpass. If they just let everyone in at once, their probably wouldn't be too bad of a line. Plus MP is still new, and everyone wants to go on it. I suggest you get a fastpass and enjoy! You'll be blown away.

I couldn't agree more. Admit it, we all went on the dark rides as kids and as dated as most of them are we go on them every time we return. It brings you back to that first time magic.
I strongly believe that the new classics deserve dark rides (Beauty & Beast, Mermaid, Lion King). Disney needs to cultivate future devotees like us that will return for generations to come. Building ANOTHER "rollar coaster" won't suffice.

I know everyone wants to say stuff about Philarmagic, but I'd just like to say Mickey's Philarmagic has rekindled my love for Disney. The show all has to do with movies I grew up with and ties me back in to the Disney Magic. Other rides have been greatly over exagerated, (Ex: MS) but Philarmagic is a great suprise. You have to see this show. It's not just another 3D crappy show, it's awesome, and I think the best ride at the Magic Kingdom now.

We have the Chinese government to thank for this! Yes, that's righ, the Chinese government paid for production costs of Mickey'sPhilharmagic! How? Well, the Chinese government is paying Disney to build Hong Kong Disneyland. Part of the development costs of Hong Kong Disneyland includes development of Mickey's Philharmagic. Of course, Disney owns the rights for everything they build in Hong Kong. So, Disney decided to open Mickey's Philharmagic first at WDW, using Chinese money. Pretty clever, huh?

BTW, I have not yet seen Mickey's Philharmagic. Last time I was at WDW, I was there the day BEFORE it opened!!!!! I was hoping to catch a soft opening preview, but that didn't happen that day!
