We will be at WDW at the start of the MNSSHP, we are just wondering if it would be worth spending the extra $300 to attend?

It really depends on your party's interest. If you are a huge fan of Halloween and 'rare' character meet and greet opportunities, or want to see fireworks/parades that you would otherwise never be able to see, then yes - it's worth going to at least once. Unless your trip is like 2 weeks long, this may also be the only way you can experience MK til midnight or so, since evening EMH are skimped down on during the fall due to the party.

We went for the first time last year, dressed up, got lots of candy, and had a great time enjoying the spirit of things. But for the price, we don't think it needs to be a yearly tradition, which is why we aren't attending again this fall. But I don't regret trying it at all!

I would say you have to experience it once...we went to WDW in 2012 and didn't buy tickets and regretted it, as one night it was on and we were leaving the park it looked amazing and everyone arriving was dressed up...so for our trip next year it's top of our list and even if we only do it the once the kids have google'd the parade and are so excited to see the headless horseman...so we are doing it!!!

My family and I went last year and absolutely loved it. We had a 2 year-old and a new born.
We are returning again this year and thinking of making it a yearly trip.

It's a lot of fun seeing all the costumes and special shows.

The entire park has a special atmosphere.

Also if you get chance, the Fort Wilderness Campground does a Halloween Golf Cart parade where guests deck out their golf carts.

This is free and always a lot of fun. Some people really do amazing things to their carts.

It is so much fun... If you go, just don't use the time to ride attractions. (except maybe Haunted Mansion) Save that for regular operating hours... Use the time to get cool pictures with rare characters, buy some event only pins and trick-or-treat and get bags of candy! The Mix and Mingle infront of Cindys house is really great to watch too. And the fireworks are truly amazing!

We did it for the first time last year, and we LOVED it! We're not super into Halloween, but seeing the different costumes was really fun! Also, the parade during the Party is my kids' favorite parade out of all of them. One more benefit to doing the party - the rides are less crowded. :)

Does the parade run twice during the party on only once? We wend to the party back in 2009 but my husband got sick and we left around 9:00. Yes it was an expensive 2 hour party for us.

Worth the money, it's a good time. The parade is enjoyable, the rare character meet & greets are fun as well. The only part I disliked was the bum-rush to buy the limited edition merchandise

as others have stated, yes, worth it.

for me it was the atmosphere of the whole place. everything's dark and themed to halloween. the whole mood is just awesome and completely different from what it's like during the day/normal season.

Yes it's worth it. The parade and fireworks are fantastic. We loved the trick or treating. Looking forward to going for our second time in September.

It is definitely worth it for us! We have been a handful of times, and would go again. The entire park transforms and has a completely different atmosphere than during the day. I just love to walk around the park and soak in the lights and music, and see all the families in their costumes.

The ToT'ing is fun, the parade, fireworks, and special entertainment are very well done, and with limited tickets, it's great to be able to just walk on a majority of the rides.

@NeedMoreMickey - that's a shame you got sick last time!! That means you probably missed the fireworks too. Hallowishes is normally at 9:30, with the parades scheduled once before and once after. I guess that just means you need to go back :p

Yes. Go. DRESS UP. ALL OF YOU. I've done it 5 times and love it. Seeing the Headless Horseman ride is super cool, the parade is great, and the fireworks are great too. I took my girlfriend last year for her first time, and she was leery about dressing up but I insisted. We're both mid 40s, no kids with us, and she had a blast. You'll see some rare characters, and some really great guest costumes as well. My favorite was a family of 6 or 7 with a very young baby with them. The baby was dressed as Snow White, and everyone else had dressed as Dwarves. The cuteness factor was off the chart. So yes, bring costumes and go have a blast. Totally worth the money.

Best fireworks show outside of NYE. Great parade. Tons of people-watching. Highly recommend it (although I would also "trade" it for a second daytime visit to MK if you were planning on spending two days there).

Those of you that went to MNSSHP before with a toddler, how late do you stay? We're taking our son to Disney for the first time and he will be 17 months. We really want to do MNSSHP but I'm a little worried about staying out late.
