Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party

While I was on the phone with a CM changing my resort reservation I was informed I am going to be in disney during MNSSHP and I am a bit excited about it. She said it is at the MK from 7pm-12am. I wanted to ask if the park was open to guests during this or if you had to purchase different tickets but I was on hold for so long that I decided to just get my reservation changed and I would ask on here :) We purchased 9 day tickets. Anyone know if this is a multiple or single day thing?

MNSSHP is a seperate ticket event about $55 for adults $45 for kids (more on some nights). It is my family's favorite thing to do at Disney. It is so much fun, there is just soemthing even more magical about MK on MNSSHP nights. The fireworks are out of this world, characters are everywhere, lines for rides are pretty short, and oh yea, you will get more candy than you ever dreamed possible. If you are going to be there do it!

This is a seperate ticket event. The MK is closed to all "regular" guests at 7 PM and the guests with the seperate party ticket stay on. If you have a party ticket for the event you can enter the MK at 4 PM the day of the party and stay on until midnight when the party is over. It is great fun, an event that my family considers a "can't miss" if we are in Orlando in September or October. Lot's of families dress up in costumes, the parade is the BEST and as mentioned you can trick or treat your way around (a time or two) and stock up on your candy supply for the entire year! No joke, there is a ton of candy given out.

However, if I was not going to the party I would not use a regular (non park hopper) ticket to go to the MK on a day of the party because I would have to leave at 7 PM. I would use that day to go to another park that I wanted to spend the whole day in, park hoppers don't matter obviously, because you can "hop" to another park at the 7 PM closing time of MK.

You can buy the tickets now, just pick a night and make your plans around that night. The tickets are sold for specific nights and not interchangable with other nights so plan ahead. It is cheaper to buy them ahead of time and it assures you the night you want/need. I would hate to make plans to go to the party, try to buy a ticket the day of (or the week of etc...), and find out that the night is sold out already. There are limited tickets for the nights so the park is not over crowded.

We are all little kids when it comes to Disney. This will be out 3rd party, this year we are all dressing up, 7 year old as Buzz 2 year old as Woody, I'll be Jesse, and we are still trying to figure out who my husband will be. The boys are rooting for Zurg.

You can buy your tickets now and plan your week around it, if you are going fairly early you should not have to worry about it selling out but it's always good to be safe.

I am sure you will enjoy every single second of the party. Do not miss the start of the parade, or the parade for that matter (in the past there have been two times for the parade, this year shouldn't be any different), but that start is great. We are not "parade" people but this is one I will hold a place for and maybe even push to get a good spot for :drevil:. I love it!

In the past, they have let you into MK at around 4:00 with the MNSSHP ticket, so you don't need to use your regular ticket. We are AP holders, but we do this anyway because it is a good idea to get there before things get started, then walk back over to Main St and soak up the Halloween ambience at 7. It's well worth the money, in my opinion.

You are going to LOVE it!!! Be sure to catch the parade and firework show(Hallowishes), there are the best in their respective catagories! You can also get into MK that day at 4 p.m., and they eventually run all the guest out at 7 p.m., when the party offically starts.
