Hmm...I'm not sure! (Really helpful, right?)

You are definitely smart to get to the expo close to when it opens. Maybe try to get there a little before 10. My biggest piece of advice is to have your waivers printed out and signed beforehand - they have printers set up at the expo but it's one more line for you to wait in! They will have different sections set up for the 5K and half and they have the booths separated by number (i.e. one line for bibs 1-500, one line for 501-1000, etc.). Lately they have been doing bib pick-up in one building and t-shirt pick-up in another (the same building with all of the merch, vendors, etc.), so unfortunately there's no way for you to get in and out with just one stop.

What time is your FP for Be Our Guest? (I totally get not wanting to miss that one, I had lunch there in September and it was delicious! We have a FP for 11/11. :D)
Thanks it was useful as I have to pick up for my brother and wife too and we all have different numbers 590, 1806 and mine and husband 3112 and 3113 so looks like I might be a while! Reservation is 12.35. I tried to change the date online but it wanted me to cancel the one I had already made and try another date and I didn't want to take that chance. I guess I need to change the BOG time to later or go to the expo later. Thanks for your advice.

You're welcome...though I'm not sure how much I helped! :hilarious:

Are all of the bibs you are picking up for the 5K? If so, that might make things go faster...but picking up bibs involves handing over the waiver and your drivers license (or copy of a license + packet pick-up authorization). The volunteer looks it up in their book and you sign for it. You'll probably end up waiting in 3 different lines - 590, 1806 and then 3112/3113 in the same line. Then over to the other building to pick up the 4 t-shirts. The other curveball is parking both at the expo and at the MK to get to BoG. The pick-up part might be over in 90 minutes or so but then what happens if parking is a mess? I never drive at Disney so I'm not sure what kind of time that would add to your day, ya know?!

Believe me it was helpful as my brother is visiting the weekend so we are going to get both him and his wife to sign a pick up to give my husband authority to pick up (I already have them signed for me to collect) that way I can stand in 1 line, my husband in another and then we queue together for ours. They are all 5k bibs but I am now going to either try to change time on BOG I daren't not change the day (just in case) or go later to the expo maybe around 6pm hopefully they will be in a hurry then to get things done so they can go home. Glad I asked as we did think we would have time before lunch but it looks unlikely as we would either have lost it or would have had to go back and that would have really upset me as I want to make the most of all the time I have in Disney and going backwards and forwards just to collect bibs etc would have left me in a bad mood! Thanks again:)

You're welcome! Don't forget that you'll need a copy of their IDs as well. :)

It's almost here!! I literally just got back this past weekend from watching my mother in law finish the chicago marathon and now disney is right around the corner. I have a the next 3 saturdays! Ending on the 9th with the 5k. (This saturday is our NOLA Komen run/walk, then next saturday is a lakefront 10k). The walk this weekend is more for the cause than for the actual running. Next week is my main test. And hey, it's a 10k... I only have to do 1/2 of that.

I am meeting many friends in WDW for the trip and many of them are already packing things that they can for their kids, etc. I am thinking... I just unpacked! I gotta pack again. But this time will be a lot less. I have started the Disney packing pile, which essentially is all the things i had packed for Chicago, and I dont want to put away since I will need them again in like 2 weeks. ;)

I am headed to the expo on Friday, after i land (11:30) and check in so like 1 pmish. I have to pick up -- 1 half marathon packet, 5 5k packets, and 2 kids race packets. I just got all the waivers, authorization forms and id copies this week. Along with my magicband!

YAY! Getting excited.

How was the run for you and how was the wedding? Have I missed the trip report and photos of you in your pink dress?
The run was great! We were pretty slow because we stopped for character photos and also walked at least as much as we ran, but it was definitely a lot of fun.

There's no trip report, but I did post a couple wedding photos on the weddings board. There are a few more here on our blog: http://hyperionpapers.com/2013/11/26/planning-a-walt-disney-world-wedding-part-3/. I'll probably post pictures of the race sometime next week too.

Ah beautiful wedding sounds lovely, your dress was lovely from what I can see (I might check out the wedding forums for more) and I wish you years of happiness. You got married the day we arrived in Florida and I did wonder how it was going on my long flight over from the UK.
I enjoyed the run too and it was my first (like you) and a lot of fun. The character lines were too long for me as it was my first race I was panicking that I might not finish in time but I completed in 43 mins with 1 character photo, 2 water stops and a toilet stop too. I really wanted more character photos as I had a Snow White dress on and when would that ever happen again (but I guess there is always next year?)
I have been back less than a week and I already want to go back!

I know! We're in the process of booking a trip for our first anniversary already, lol.

Congratulations! You made good time, especially factoring in the stops.

I probably won't get the rest of the edited wedding pictures until after the holidays, but I'll share more when I do.

@ChristaH -- I did do the NOTC 10K. Wish we had seen each other. It was my first 10K actually using Jeff Galloway, and i did it in 1:33 and I am totally cool with that.

Are you doing any other ones around NOLA this year? I only have the Laketown 10 mile scheduled as a training run for the Rock and Roll 1/2 in Feb.

I'm considering the Rock and Roll 1/2. I'm doing the WDW 1/2 in January, so it depends on how I feel after that. I live in Baton Rouge and there are several halfs in the area late January - early March. I'd like to do another half, but we'll see!

I realized I never posted a race recap from the Jingle Jungle 5K. I ran by myself but I had a blast. Even met a few Run Disney Friends I had met online! My husband and I then stayed at Epcot that night to spectate for the Wine n Dine. it was just amazing.

I know it's a little late, but here are some pictures ( from both races) and a brief recap if anyone is interested. http://tinyurl.com/lhqmyz3

I'm glad you had a good time, Mandy! We did too. And I agree, the Wine & Dine finish line party is the best ticketed event I've ever attended at a Disney park.
