Have you guys ever been to MMNSSHP on the night of halloween? How was it and how bad were the crowds during that night, and is it worth it? Are all the attractions open during the party? It will be our first time to Florida during Halloween too, thanks! :)

( Still deciding between Halloween Horror Nights or Halloween Party at MK ! :p )

We were supposed to- we got sick the day of Halloween in 2012, and Disney exchanged our tickets for the last party 2 nights later. However, the rest of my family went, and were pleasantly surprised. We had debated heavily whether or not to pay the extra money to be at the party on actual Halloween night, and were prepared for heavy crowds. They said it was surprisingly not bad, and they had a great time! Two nights later, it wasn't bad at all. We've been several times, mostly in the middle of the month, and I don't think I could tell a difference from mid month to the end.

We went in 2011 on Halloween night and it was surprisingly not too crowded. There were lots of people, but not at all the craziness I was expecting. We got lots of candy and had a lovely time. The parade is fun and the fireworks are good too! Expect crowds and you should be fine.
Also, I have no idea what rides were open. I was pregnant and we were pretty focused on seeing characters and trick-or-treating. The night went by way too fast.

We visited the MNSSHP in early October 2012 and were less than thrilled. The crowds were no problem at all, we didn't even have long waits at the trick-or-treat trails but the quality of the candy was quite sub-par if you consider the price of the ticket. The hallowishes firework and the Boo-to-you parade were quite nice but still not worth the 65$ (per person!) if I remember correctly. The attractions were all open, the HM was a little more spooky than normal with the "undead" CMs and the special effects added (especially the fog). The "Villains show" (I forgot the official name) at 11.00 p.m. or so in front of the hub was a major disappointment, far too short and absolutely nothing special and to sum it up, good for 35$ per person, acceptable at 45$ per person but at 65$ it's for us a once and never again thing.

We went Halloween night 2011. It was a bit crowded from about 7:00 - 9:00 and then it thinned out. We had a great time. Walked onto many attractions; candy trails weren't crowded. We did the Dessert Party that night too.

My sister and her husband went to the Halloween night party this past year and they said they wouldn't do it again. Lines to get candy and meet characters were very long and the only good thing about it was the parade and fireworks... other than that they said they would never pay the extra cost to go to a party because they could have done the same thing on a EMH night.. lines for rides weren't bad. They charge you even more money to go on Halloween night, which I think is already too much money but that's just me. Everyone will have different experiences and opinions on this.

I went in mid-September to one of the first of the season and it was a great experience! It is definitely worth it if you are a Halloween fan and want to see some spectacular-themed shows. Lots of candy given out in bunches, characters are all dressed up (it's so cute), and pretty much all of the rides are operating (minus some like Jungle Cruise).

That being said, if you plan on going on the 31st, or anywhere close to Halloween Night, it will definitely be more crowded during that time. A lot of the crowds concentrate around meeting characters, but it will still be possible to get great seats to watch the parade/fireworks. You should probably buy your tickets early - they will definitely be sold out.
