Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Does anyone have any insight on Mickey's Backyard BBQ. I've read good and bad reviews. Some people complain you are seated too close to one another yet other people rave about it. Also, are there more than one per night like the Hoop Dee Doo Review? I though I read something about one at 9:30 PM but that seems awfully late.

It is usually just two nights a week (Thurs. and Sat.) at 6:30 PM, and held March - December. I wasn't very impressed by it. It just didn't have the same Disney ambience as other events. The seating is first come, first serve, and the seats close to the stage and dance floor fill up quickly. The night we were there was a beautiful, cool night in December. I can't imagine being there when it's hot & humid during the summer months. I thought the food was fine, but nothing spectacular. I'm not too big a fan of country music either. It's something fun to try once, but I don't think I would return. Here's a link to the menu.

Thanks for the insight. I think we will pass on it since there are so many places to go and things to do in a short 7 days. Maybe if we were staying longer but right now I'm having a hard time cutting down my list as it is. Thanks again.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is lots of fun! The character interaction is great & the food is pretty good too.
We are going to try the Hoop Dee Doo Revue on our next trip. We hear that it is a wonderful show. I believe there are 3 shows per night & the latest one does begin at 9:30pm.

Backyard BBQ

I went to this a few years ago with my brother and his family and we had a good timebut I remember it was hot when we went (August) It stayed light fairly long and I remember dancing and having a wonderful time. Food was OK, but plentiful. We are doing it again in July only this time with the whole familyh (23 people) !
