I just returned from POR and the waffles were fantastic. Do they not use the Villaware model there because the "mold" looks different and the waffles don't seem as thick... I'd love to be able to wake up and make my own Mickey waffles but i'm worried that i'll be disappointed after having the ones at Disney.

we have the mickey waffler from disney direct. We also have the pooh waffler and the 4 slice mickey toaster. We have never used any of them though, so I can't really help with their quality.

The toaster is real cute if you're making toast for on person. Because when the toast is done, and it pops up, it plays the Mickey Mouse Club song, but if you're making breakfast for your whole fam, just pull out the regular toaster... haha.. .

I love the mickey waffle maker!! i was at a second hand store(love to go for old books and old videos) and i found a mickey waffle maker brand new with tag on it stil ( in plastic which was in the box..i paid $5.00!!! i wanted to go up to someone and smack em and say Hello??? can you believe its this cheap!!!? But they probably would not have gotten that and i probably would have been thrown out of the store!! but anyway get yourself one they are great ...i use it more for myself than anything..although my girls like it too!! lol ..makes you feel a little closer to the magic... But i'd have to admit nothing is like when your in that magical place and they make the waffles for you... :sohappy:

29 more days to go....yahooooo
LONG LIVE DIXING LANDINGS!!!!!

The real key, however, is duplicating the taste of the Mickey waffles. :) So you'd need their recipe for waffle batter, and the same syrup. I like their sausage links, also, and it would be hard for me to duplicate the whole taste without those.

Mickey Waffles

4 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (optional)

1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla (optional)

Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until light. Add cooled melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder & salt, beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff and gently fold into batter. Bake and serve.

For perfect Mickey waffles use the Mickey waffle maker.

Thanks fo the information I would have never though to ask this myself. Mickey Waffles are probably one of the food items i look forward to the most when going to Walt Disney World. To me your not in Disney until you have had a Mickey Waffle. My favortites are the large ones they sell at Port Orleasn Fench Quarter and the Carribean Beach. The samll ones are good too. What beeter way to start your wdw day with a Mickey Waffle. I have tried to duplicat them at home with a mickey waffle maker but no such luck. Dismey must have speacial waffle pixie dust to make everything taste better. Lol

LOL, it's also VERY fun to wake up the entire family when you're skulking around trying to get ready for work in the morning ;)
