The Mickey Mouse Review premiered in 1971 in the Fantasyland Theatre (in Fantasyland!) as one of the three 'original' Magic Kingdom attractions (the other two were Hall of Presidents and the Country Bear Jamboree.)

The show moved out to Tokyo Disneyland, where it has been playing in their Fantasyland since the start. Of course, it's now playing in Japanese.

In the mid-80s, the area turned into a place to cool down and watch some Disney cartoon shorts. When Magic Journeys was replaced by Captain EO in EPCOT Center's Magic Eye 3-D Theatre, the show was moved to Walt Disney World with a preshow of "Workin' for Peanuts," a Chip'n'Dale and Donald duck cartoon shown in 3-D.

In 1994, upon the success of the top animated "Lion King," the Fantasyland Theatre was changed back into a stage show - this time with human actors playing along with some of the animatronics. The leads also made their way into Epcot's "The Land" and replaced Symbiosis in 1995 with "The Circle of Life," still seen today.

Legend of the Lion King was shut down in February 2002. This past October, Mickey's Philharmagic replaced it. . . only this time, the preshow area was (sadly) removed.

So, once again, Mickey Mouse is back in the Fantasyland Theatre in FANTASYLAND. And you can see Donald Duck and the other Two Caballeros in a queue poster. . . and recall that famous scene that once was. . .
