Mickey Head Balloons

The ones with the blinking light are $15. When I asked the balloon man how much they cost he responded "three fingers and two toes". I replied, "that's probably a lot less painful than the actual price." Although, I will say, we bought it the first day and it stayed perfectly blown up for our entire 8 day stay.

Its crazy what we will pay for stuff but darn it I want one! We will probably get one for my daughter and I will secretly admire it to save the $. If she wants a different balloon though I will get my own. :)

While on our way down Main Street to head back to the hotel to change clothes for a ADR I found my son begging for one so I gave my wife a $20.00 to get one for him while I jumped in line to get a mickey Rice Crispie treat...mmmmmm... and then met up with them to find out how much it actually cost me thinking it was only at most $5.00. Well before we even hit the buses he ended up popping the outer balloon. Do you know how sad it looks back at the resort where the outer balloon is draped over Mickey?

I wanted one the one time I went for the day but since I went as an adult and had no child I just couldnt justify it so instead I took a picture of a huge bunch together. It has always been one of my favorite pictures. This time I am going as a happy family unit with one balloon crazy 8 year old DS so I am sure I will finally get my Mickey head balloon ( even though I will let DS think it is his)!

Take a fool's advice and don't leave that relatively expensive balloon in a car in central Florida in the summer for any amount of time. Doing so results in an engineering failure similar to the Hindenburg disaster (lots of heat, balloon pops, gravity takes over - albeit without the death toll.) Oh the humanity. I should really have known better too, because I live in Alabama.

I love the Disney balloons! When I wasn't staying in AKL, I'd always get one to cheer up the room! They're adorable!

I still get a few when Sis and the boys come, to make the house more Mickey-vacationy. So, I leave the MK, a single adult woman, with several balloons. WTH. You only live once!

I bought one and they said if it deflated during your stay, they'd replace it for free :) I loved it- it was so cool:cool:

The first time my daughter asked for one we had two days left in our trip and I couldn't see spending the money on something I couldn't take on a plane. While changing a reservation at the concierge desk at Pop Century she told the CM about her balloon dilemma. The CM went in back to "check on paperwork" and came back with three heliums for her. They only lasted overnight but she was cool with that. Our next trip is two weeks so maybe I'll get one the first day. Does anyone know how long they stay inflated?

mine stayed inflated for my eight day trip last year.. we typically leave then in the rooms so I'm
not sure how much longer it lasted after that, but it hadn't lost any air yet on the 8th day if that says anything.

Groovy! Then I guess it's a go with the balloon. Thanks!

I bought my daughter a light up one, while the balloon it's self has been deflated and used in her scrap book the light still works. I was very surprised. Yes I got it on the first day, grumbling the whole time that I was paying so much, but when my daughter smiled to see it I hushed up a little. It stayed inflated the whole time we were there and for a little while after we got home. She would turn it on at night in the hotel room to give her a little bit of a night light. Plus one day we came back to the room to see that house keeping had tied it to one of her stuffed animals and she loved it and kept it that way till we got home.
