Just a heads up. IDK where she will speak but ESPN just announced she will be there speaking about something Disney is doing for our country's veterans.

I was there in '06 when our vice president was there speaking at the Contemporary (I believe) and it was a PITA to deal with. I'm sure secret service will be all over once again like in '06.

I'm a CM, I won't be in the area she is in (hopefully). Im literally in a park almost every day (including Universals up the Road)

So, perhaps not....

And as a CM, maybe you could provide insight as how best to avoid the logistical mess around this event....

Well lets hope it is thought out better than Mr. President on Main Street. Not a fun interruption in the Magic for guests and a pain in the tushie for CMs that day. Though the back end of the MK was pretty darn empty for guests.

Disney has hired and trained 1000 vets and plans to hire 1000 more in the next 2 years.
I'd like to know the range of employment. Are they being trained to load guests on Small World or are they training Vet CMs for more advanced roles?

most veterans are put into entry level positions same as anyone else. Its just Disney giving them a job.

I just can't imagine what that level of security would do impact wise. I would hate to have to deal with the hassle.

While security will be tight, they do a very good job of isolating the locked down area to impact as few people as possible.

It I do have to cover it, I hope they have the Maple Bacon Cupcakes that they served the media when the President came to WDW.
