micheal eisners yearly bonus

not sure if this is the right place to put this but i just

heard on the radio that disney gave out there yearly bonuses

today and micheal eisners bonus was 5 million:veryconfu

on top of his 1 million dollar yearly salary. the bonus is for the

projected rebound for disney in 2003:sohappy: must be nice

Wow, so does anyone know if Eisner has a son or nephew or relative that is around 20 years old that I can marry. I doubt I'll ever see 5 million dollars in my lifetime!? :hammer:

And so it goes in corporate America. Big bonuses for the CEO's are always going to happen, no matter how loud people complain or whine about how it shouldn't be happening. Heck, K-Mart is giving about bonuses and million dollar salaries and they are bankrupt right now!

This bonus isn't guaranteed. He won't see any of it until 2005. If he doesn't get the stock to improve, it's not going to be worth much more than it is. It's a huge gamble on Eisner's part electing to take it in stock and not get cash. It could be worthless (I hope not) or really rake in some dough for him.

Even if it works out to be less because of the stock option, say...$3 million, after taxes that would only be about, oh, roughly $1.5 million.
