I think that is where Desperate Housewives is actually filmed.....it is on ABC, but ABC does not produce the show. (Dreamworks produced Spin City, and that was on ABC)

I didn't mean the Desperate Housewives part, I mean where they're all out in the street dancing and stuff. I can clearly see the Cyberdyne T-2 place...

The problem is we make a bigger deal out of it then what it is. Thank god Michael Powell was there to hold the pillers of western civilization up. Because if he wasn't socity would have collapsed by Wed. I am glad we have a man like that there.

The ironic thing is that parents bug out about this but yet they let there kids watch cartoons that show violance and seductive behavior.

I for one am starting to get really peeved about this because now I"m hearing that advertisers are pulling their sponsorship of Desperate Housewives because of this, which means eventually the show could get cancelled if it doesn't have the ad support. Anyone else heard about this?

This will only happen for so long.....advertisers see $$ in ratings....and DH has the ratings. For each advertiser that pulls, I would think 2 would be waiting to get in.

I would not be worried.

Advertisers threatened to pull advertising from Seinfeld after "The Contest" but never did.

Contrevesy is ALWAYS good. More people will come just because it is more in the spotlight.

Funny thing is, I enjoy DH and watch it every week, but I find it to be a dark comedy and not "scandelous" or "sleazy" at all.

There's a talk show host down here who can't play fart sounds or say words he could say 20 years ago. Scary, scary times.
 I think I know who you are refering to...

I'm glad I found this thread....took me awhile...lol

I think Speck you're on to something...in this day and age...parents have this overprotective attitude about everything under the sun when it comes to their kids....the problem is...no matter how hard parents try to shelter their kids...they eventually find out about all those things that were tried to be keep away from their kids...and many a times are misinformed to some degree about certain subjects...

Parents I think should take a deep breath and give their kids the respect they deserve...make them knowledgable about all good and bad things in the world, if the situation comes up...don't make them ignorant by sheltering them (I'm not saying take it to the other extreme either)....I think there could be a healthy balance....

As for the FCC...they need to go back to doing what they were created to do...and stay away from all this censorship they seem to want to enforce....

Well that's just it.....we all survived seeing all sorts of things on television and movies and commercials....because we grew up at a time when parents weren't freaking out about letting their kids learn about life's underbelly, and life's splendor and wonder. Not saying children should watch Desperate Housewives per se, but rather, I'm saying that parents are capable of changing the channel, or, if their child sees something, then explain it to them and in the future, maybe just make sure they know you're watching your adult show. I just am ticked at the actions of all these conversative groups and ticked at the companies who are caving. I dug up some info and the activist in ME decided to write a few of these execs at the companies...let's let them know what we think..I know I am. I just don't want these folks to decide the future of a show I happen to like...what country do we live in again? Ok, I"m simmering...but here is the contact info I found...

It is kind of like referees, if you notice them during a game or if they become the story of the game, then they are not doing their job right. Like Powell, we shouldn't be seeing this guy on tv telling us what is approprate and what is not. It seems like they feel that their agency (FCC) isn't getting enough attention, so they to put up a fit every few months.
