Sorry, I couldn't help that title to this thread.

This should satisfy our curiosity about what's happening to the Magic Eye Theater now that the Big Hero 6 preview is over. Per a front page Micechat "Editor's Note" tonight...

"Editor’s Note: February 18, 2015: Tomorrowlanding – Disneyland's Magic Eye Theater will reopen in early April as a temporary sneak peek of Brad Bird's upcoming "Tomorrowland" movie. Then the theater will close again while the long-term, coherent strategy for the troubled land tries to get off the launching pad. Perhaps the countdown can begin in time for D23 Expo in August?"

From the (very) little bit I've seen of the movie and from it's campaign at D23 in 2013, it seems that unless the movie is a colossal flop that it would be a solid theme and 'center' for the reworking of DL's Tomorrowland. There was just so much Walt and optimism tied into the Expo presentation, the 1952 mystery box, etc. that it would just be perfect for Walt's park and his vision of that 'land'. Keep Star Wars off in it's own distinct area, be it Toontown or wherever and bring the original feel of the land back.
I'm really looking forward to the Park presentation at this years Expo and by then we'll know if the movie was a hit or not. Hopefully it will be and Tomorrowland will have a perfect theme.

I mean, doesn't THIS just look like Tomorrowland should look? Retro Waltvision future?

I'm with you guys. I hope the Tomorrowland movie is a huge hit and will inspire TDA to give Tomorrowland a new, DISNEY-created facelift (as opposed to shoehorning in Star Wars and all that).

From a design standpoint, it seems obvious just based on the concept art for the film that this would be a decent enhancement to the area.
TL could use a refreshening and with the existing buildings i can see it happening.

Just keep it classy and timeless.
