The OP had two questions. Asked if anyone here can verify if it was down (easy enough) and if anyone knows the problem. If you look at the error message it says, "Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@micechat.com and inform them.....".

It however does not say, "Please go to a competitor forum and ask them if they know why the site is down". As far as I know, nobody here is the webmaster for micechat.com, right?

I mean, you never know, but it's a longshot at best.

That page never appeared for me. This one did-

I remained on this page for 5 minutes and tried multiple times yesterday and today but it never loaded. The site is now working so can a moderator delete this thread? It is not relevant anymore.

You can get this kind of response if a web site is having problems with denial-of-service attacks and they use a protection service. The service will become active if there's too much traffic and it tries to distinguish between actual humans and dos attack traffic.

Is anyone else experiencing the Micechat page where it says that it will redirect you when you try to get onto the site? I've tried for the past two days and I haven't been redirected to the site, it keeps reloading but nothing is happening. It says that there's alot of foot traffic on the site but this has never been an issue before. Maybe it would be more believable if maybe there was a big Disney announcement and everyone wanted to check it out but nothing has happened. Does anyone know about this problem?
Our very own @TP2000 is a micechat ghost writer. He would know! He's Al Lutz's best friend!

My goodness... it was a simple question and if you don't like the website in question, you could, oh I don't know, keep scrolling instead of attacking the OP. Jeez you guys...

I've been seeing this same thing, as have several posters on their Facebook feed. I messaged the site administrators and was told that there was no problem with the site and that it was just experiencing high traffic. That was YESTERDAY and it's still happening. Sorry, I don't buy their explanation.

This same explanation was given to them on their Facebook post. They ignored it and repeated their "too much traffic" response.

🤷‍♀️ That's all I've got.

This thread reminds me of the time I worked in a toy store, and a customer asked if we knew how many copies of a certain DVD there were at the local Wal-Mart. She honestly couldn't fathom why we didn't have access to Wal-Mart's inventory system. "But you both sell the same DVD!" "Yes, ma'am, and I can tell you how many of that DVD we have HERE, right now. But we don't have any way to know what's in Wal-Mart's inventory. You could always call them."
She ended up asking for a manager, who of course told her the same thing. I never did find out how many DVDs Wal-Mart was carrying that day, and I guess I never will.

No offense meant to the OP of this thread, just maybe offering a little perspective as to why people are confused that you're asking here. And to answer your question, Micechat seems to be working for me. I got the "foot traffic" notice, but was redirected to the site within the promised 5 seconds. So maybe it's better now?

Yes I realized my mistake. I just figured that people on this site would know because... well the website can access anything really. Of course that toy store doesn't have a connection to the Walmart inventory database. But on the internet, you're one click away from another website.
I also didn't really know that these types of sites and it's guests compete with one another. I guess my pure mind thought that everyone checked alot of different sites under a love of theme parks/Disney parks. I guess not 🤷‍♂️ but hey, the more you know.

I honestly get it.

And I like how pure your heart is, that you just figured we'd all be sharing the same problem with that other website so you'd ask for assistance here.

I wasn't a best man at the Micechat owner's wedding, nor have I posted on that site in many years (about the time I stopped posting on Mouseinfo after Marcie left sometime during the Bush II presidency), but I get it. It's nice to know some folks have purer hearts and come at this thing with open minds. :)

You probably aren't entirely wrong...I'm guessing there are many here that check multiple sites. That being said, many of the folks here have likely migrated from that or various other sites because of being banned or disillusioned so there may be some animosity. I was on MC, Mouseplanet & Mouseinfo for years, well before I ever started posting here for example. I don't post at any of those at all anymore and only visit MC on rare occasion and that's because they probably have more DL coverage than anyone else. This has become my Disney discussion home. At the end of the day, absolutely no harm in asking the question but you now kinda understand that folks might be reacting a certain way because of their distaste for other sites. Just don't every ask us about Mr Unscrupulous site W D W N T ;)

Thanks, and if I may ask, what happened to make such a distaste of MC here? I assume that there was some kind of freedom of speech issue or abuse of power? I mean I don't read the comments or post on MC, I just read the weekly Disneyland update so idk if anything bad is going on.
