MGM September 18th

We arrived at MGM around 9ish Saturday morning for my b/f's daughter's 11th birthday. It was so uncrowded it was scary. We first went on Tower of Terror, 8 minutes in line maximum. The orange creme Slurpee I had not long before didn't sit well with me after ToT :dazzle: but I was better by Rockin' Rollercoaster. It was like everything was better this trip. Our last one we kind of rushed in just to ride ToT and a few others and left. This was way more enjoyable, even though it was crazy hot out.

I got a headache from the massively bright sun. Went to the First Aid station and they hooked a sister up with my choice of pain-killer. Some for now, some for later. I was so glad they were there. Normally I carry that with me.

We all wore matching shirts (our first time for family nerdery) which we'd stamped quotes from movies on and unfortunately...mine was the only one anyone "got" *shrug*

Mine was: "I do believe in fairies - I do - I do" - Want to guess the rest? Sure you do!
Boyfriend had: "I pledge allegiance to the band"
Oldest daughter had: "Pick 3 my Lord"
Youngest had: "Cindy, the TV is leaking"
Maybe we should have just stuck to Disney movies and played it safe.

We ate at the 50's Prime Time Diner. We had a blast there. The kids got the electric cubes in their drinks and are still tossing them in their cups today. The birthday girl said it was her best birthday ever.

Fantasmic was be-yoo-ti-ful. It was our first time seeing it. We stayed at the Comfort Suites for dirt cheap ($54) and it was way better than I'd expected. We've stayed at some junky joints before. I've been really pleased with the Choice Hotels in Orlando. Anyway, I'd give this trip a 7-8 out of 10. I really enjoy the Magic Kingdom best, but appreciate MGM a lot more now. Magic Kingdom's so much more...enchanting? When film's developed, I'll post. Bye!

Oh you guys! I think I remember seeing you at Coaster when I was working there.

But then again there were many families wearing the same shirt.

Perchance, what was the shirt your group was wearing (Yes folks, it was so freakin slow at the Coaster, we literally were resorting to doing stuff like keeping track of how many times people came through)

We went on twice (once in the a.m. once in the p.m) so there's a good chance you saw us. Our shirts were all red but we had those "sayings" on them (in black or white text).

I'm sort of thick, short, long blonde hair. B/f looks like a chubbier Oscar De La Hoya and his 2 girls, one looks hispanic the other looks black. Actually, the black looking one didn't ride with us - she's really really scared of rides. So it've been the 3 of us ;)

I believe that I remember your group now. Unfortunatly. 1 out of ever 2 groups that came through had a child that didnt want to go on it so...remembering that part would be somewhat difficult.

LOL oh no, she's like 13 years old. We knew she'd be skipping the coaster and ToT so we left her and a walkie talkie at the gift stand nearby. You'd have only seen us 3. I wish I had pics or something :/ oh well.
