So Robertson Blakewood, and his daughter Lilian Blakewood could both appear in the photo with the other members. Because if you look at the photo Harrison Hightower has the cursed idol in his arms.

Robertson Blakewood is part of the S.E.A, and owner of the Lilian Tower Hotel who he name after his daughter Lilian Blakeswood. Robertson took his own life after Lilian Blakeswood disappeared on December 27th 1898. Isabelle Stockwell the daughter of Robertson's assistant Jefferson Stockwell reopen the abandoned hotel to honor Lilian's memory. If you want you could include my Tower of Terror attraction along with its Halloween maze that connects more clues to the Lilian Tower Hotel. Although don't know where you'll put it since its part of Disneysea with a event during Halloween call Fear Harbor.

It sounds great! However, my Tower of Terror stand-in will be themed to The Avengers, rather than supernatural happenings.

Exciting news! I've learned that I'll be visiting Germany this April. Bad news! I'll have to focus a lot of time on work and learning 75 minutes worth of choral music for the trip. Nonetheless, this project is still on track. I look forward to finally completing it this year.

Continuing with Adventureland, still dedicated to @TheOriginalTiki...

“What poor hull lies smashed on the cruel rocks, pounded by the angry sea? Who knows the gallant efforts o’ the wretched crew to save the ship? I knows, ‘cause I was there! ‘Twas the royal fortune, bound for the Spanish Main, with enough treasure aboard to… Dead men tell no tales!”

As we venture deeper into the jungles of Freedom Island, we leave behind the mystery and exotica of Paradise Springs, having since journeyed further back in time... We find ourselves in the quiet years following the Golden Age of Piracy. In this 18th Century seaport of collapsed shipwrecks, winding waterways and mysterious islands, many a brave buccaneer has once set sail for an adventure upon the high seas, undoubtedly involving vile sea monsters, cutthroat captains and buried treasure. Now, all that remains of this romanticized scene are crumbling relics of these adventurous tales, mere mementoes of a bygone era when Blackbeard lived to terrorize the British Empire. This is Pirate's Cove, the second sub-land of Adventureland.

elopjlJavjOM7hVZTzw_UBg_QB4-w8PPM6bTJx6QIayxIeY610Szad3X4-X9juIkfmploZkYkPSFNupU59iDth1Je-YKxG0S24dmFAwvitW5wrf23kVzrs23UrmewgriSboYZL_d

“No fear have ye of evil curses sez you… HARRrrr - HU - HUMmm. Properly be warned, sez I. Who knows when that evil curse will strike the greedy beholders o’ this bewitched treasure… Dead men tell no tales.”

From the Adventureland Veranda, the remnants of former pirates begin to appear amidst the overgrown moss and swaying palms, many having fallen just short of their earthly duties. A captain, by the look of his decayed uniform, stands impaled against a tree, a sword run through his chest. In his tri-cornered hat, a seagull sits, having made its nest inside. Nearby, a displaced crow's nest hosts a fossilized sentry, still gazing at passers by through his elongated telescope.

“Hear ye a dead man’s tale o’ a dastardly deed. Brave seamen, these… Helped bury the gold they did, then silenced forever. Har! So thought that black ‘earted divil! … But stay, I told their tale ‘afore...now I be tellin’ it again. Here be where the gold… Dead men tell no tales!”

Amidst the shipwrecks, palms and jagged rocks of Pirate's Cove, the structural remnants of a former colony - presumably of the Spanish Empire - reside, ancient, well-worn, forgotten by time. The battle-scarred facade of the mighty La Fortaleza ("The Fortress") soars above the treetops, a once-empowered stronghold meant to protect the thriving seaport from unwanted visitors. Tragically, the efforts of the colonists proved futile - the familiar skull and crossbones of the Jolly Roger soar proudly from the highest turret.

hkPDkjCXv3qjrx1I5swN0xrddbuqltNIFxogt-e2bWdGE6l5Z73dHJP54cy9Po8nFgU66-yg2U0PLAV87elWvGj0mbPo242HBJqXgdCVU4sN0-9-z2TkeZs7N2y2Rph55O06TQmc

Through a secret entrance to the fort's dungeon - said entrance shaped like a cannonball - we find ourselves lost in the flickering gloom of La Fortaleza's foreboding arsenals and dungeons, still left as they were prior to a devastating sea battle, where forgotten prisoners and deceased soldiers still reside. A crumbling passage leads into a lush, tropical lagoon at twilight. From this Blue Lagoon, we board a cargo ship to set sail with the "wildest crew that ever sacked the Spanish Main!"

In Rogue's Gallery, we sail through the late 16th Century, where rowdy rogues and rambunctious rapscallions invade a sleepy, Spanish seaport. An ominous skull warns us of danger ahead as we plunge down a waterfall and into the sacked seaport. As the pirates auction off the town beauties, engage in sword combat, deplete the village rum supply, and battle with a moldering fortress, we clap along to the iconic tune of "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)." One plump pirate brandishes a frilly underskirt, having lost its lovely owner. A foul captain and his flutist first mate interrogate the googly-eyed magistrate by dunking him in the well. Drunken ne'er-do-wells set the seaport ablaze in a rum-induced stupor, culminating in a fiery finale.

Based on the original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Disneyland, California, Rogue's Gallery captures the essence of the 1967 classic, excluding the recent additions of Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones and Ian McShane's Blackbeard. Instead, the entirety of the voyage remains set to the fantastic score of Buddy Baker, the legendary script of X. Atencio, and the characters and sets of Marc Davis and Claude Coats.

The Blue Lagoon Restaurant is perhaps Adventureland's most elegant dining location, simulating the romance and beauty of a Caribbean jungle in the glow of twilight. Here we dine under the moon and stars while boats carrying Rogue's Gallery passengers peacefully glide by, just before entering the cut-in-two hull of a proud galleon. Seafood is what's for dinner at this quaint veranda - surf 'n' turf, lobster bisque, fish and chips - while tattered flags, hanging lanterns and rusted lanterns provide ample lighting.

Upon disembarking from Rogue's Gallery, we make a quick detour through Pieces of Eight, where glittering jewels, treasure chests, gold doubloons and treasure maps hint at the loot within. Toy rifles, fool's gold, plastic cutlasses, hook-for-hand replacements, miniature telescopes, pirate hats, and eye patches are all for sale, all beneath the watchful, fine-feathered eye of the shop's proprietor, First Mate Jenkins. The
spiritual successor to Walt Disney World’s “Barker Bird,” a green parrot that once resided above the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean, Jenkins squawks and whistles from above the register, often making snide remarks towards his loyal customers.

Fortune Red’s Pirate Arcade finds its namesake in Fortune Red, a mechanical soothsayer with a disgruntled grin and finger pointed toward an “X Marks the Spot” on a seized treasure map. Like Shrunken Ned in Paradise Springs, Fortune Red provides a truly macabre fortune at the drop of a coin, making “dreams come true” for bold seafarers everywhere.

Sinister portraits of Henry Morgan, Black Bart and Calico Jack overlook the arcade amidst decorative fish nets and misplaced seaweed. Inside the arcade, an arsenal of one-of-a-kind games, often requiring skill or strength put would-be buccaneers to the test, such as “Whack-a-Croc,” a play-on the classic Whack-a-Mole, respectively involving that pesky crocodile that always seems to follow Captain Hook.

Just a few short steps from Rogue's Gallery, we find a miniature wax museum, aptly dubbed the Hall of Infamy. Here, history's most terrorizing sailors are put on display with informative placards and special narration illustrating the cutthroat histories and folk tales seen in the dioramas and individual displays. Such featured rogues include Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Blackbeard, Henry Morgan, Black Bart, Long John Silver, Captain Hook, and Mr. Smee. To retain the "thematic realism" of Rogue's Gallery, the figures of Hook and Smee are notably not the "Disney-fied" versions, but rather the realistic, fearsome versions of J.M. Barrie's original source material.

Our travels whisk us through the ruins of this former Spanish seaport and into a dockside collection of shops, merchant stalls, and converted storehouses filled to overflowing with imports - obtained legally or otherwise - from around the world, starting with the aptly named House of Treasure. The House of Treasure is a true one-of-a-kind shop with a knack for knickknacks and keepsakes of the seafaring sort. Tortuga Tavern, a scoundrel's den of pirate-y treasures, has a mouthwatering menu of pulled pork, sliced beef brisket and grilled chicken breast, all served with beans and coleslaw. Of course, what tavern would be complete without wine, beer and rum?

The semi-rotting timbers of an old boat landing take us to the deck of The Wicked Wench. On board this still-intact sailing vessel, we roam the decks, discovering "hooks-on" activities and details that recall life on the Seven Seas, including an authentic, 16th Century cannon.

Back ashore, The Bootstrappers, a motley band of musical pirates, bring a sense of atmospheric charm to the long-lost seaport. As we approach the decrepit entryway of the Major-General Opera House, rumored to be built by the "very model of a modern major-general," we stumble upon the theatrical extravaganza of the Seven Seas - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Musical. Yes, this is an actual thing. In parody of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance, we join Captain Jack Sparrow and William Turner on their hilarious quest to break an age-old Aztec curse. Throughout this outrageous, fourth wall-breaking hoop-dee-doo, we witness singing pirates, a Barbossa educated in the latest pop culture advancements, a rowdy tap number from undead sailors, and even an appearance from the Kraken, singing its cephalopod heart out...

La Fuente de la Fortuna, meaning “The Fountain of Fortune,” operates from within the ruins of the former magistrate’s house (“Don’t tell him, Carlos! Don’t be chicken!”). Now, a familiar wishing well resides out front, not forgetting the interior storehouse for pirate attire. As such, the shifty shopkeep insists that his goods will provide good fortune for those who wear it. However, considering the rotted, pirate corpses hung from the gallows across the road, this "good fortune" is all but a myth...

The "star attraction" of Pirate's Cove is Dead Man's Lagoon, a decided rival to the more "elegant" Fantasy Lagoon in neighboring Fantasyland. By foot, we cross one of two suspension bridges to enter Adventure Isle, a once-forsaken paradise with more loot than all Treasure Island. Cascading waterfalls, uncharted forests, abandoned shipwrecks, and mysterious caverns compose the mythical, well-traveled realm of the island, a seamless mix of fact and fantasy. Stepping foot on Adventure Isle recalls the breathtaking opening credits of Muppet Treasure Island, a steamy, Caribbean jungle teeming with dark, and often bloody secrets...

Skull Rock - of Peter Pan fame - stands to the island's southern shore, a mysterious beacon of exploration and discovery. Inside, a network of haunted caves and eerie grottoes echo the fateful "Tiger Lily incident." Lush waterfalls, slow-rising tides and unfortunate skeletons, still chained to the cavern walls, set the stage for Captain Hook and Peter Pan, eternally locked in combat in an alcove high above. The grinning Tick-Tock Croc hungrily eyes the familiar silhouette of Captain Hook from a pool below, patiently awaiting his "codfish dinner."

mjzW7DofLYid5oa0bHdkMAsSAH0lfZJFlO73r0JPVBLsBgy_QZhFwQbyvmjF7oY8a05lgGb6Zbh2IKybsQSIS3gMUbIuuKFQ-XgnwAEihTncvDNLXw7GndSrCD1FDj4-eQrrMX05

From Skull Rock, we "follow the leader" into a lush forest of tropical blossoms and rushing streams. Fanciful trees, fallen redwoods and technicolor rock formations immerse us into the unreal, fantasy world of Neverland. Neverland Trail takes us far from the Caribbean Sea and into the unusual environs of the "second star to the right." Silk Hat Falls - John Darling's top hat seen floating in the river - takes us through a lush riverbed of cool falls, whitewater rapids and spinning rocks to play on, including the world-famous Castle Rock. Naturally, a large hippo lives in the adjacent pool, often emerging from beneath the top hat (subsequently wearing it) and billowing a refreshing mist from its nostrils.

In Banana Country, mischievous apes lurk in the dense canopy, attempting to snag hats, bags and glasses from passing explorers. Telescopes, crafted from bamboo and banana peels, provide stunning views of Pirate's Cove across the lagoon. A rugged trail leads into a clearing of tall grass and giant boulders, aptly labeled as Rhino Rock. Discarded relics from past expeditions will summon a large rhinoceros from its slumber in the tall grass. Tall redwoods and pines mark the entrance to Hibernation Wood, where distant native drums and chanting set a scene similar to Westernland to the south. As Hibernation Wood marks the end of Neverland Trail, the only true element here is that of a grizzly bear reclined on a large rock, fast asleep, snoring loudly. Of course, some displaced logs here and there provide ample "playground equipment" in this natural wonderland.

lgXMBqLFakmbKLOOMAVe4yvpA69IYp_1CZ04uT_lD0V-gouiPhp6HrJ2fIcKI9KZx7XIZLYJuhRdqzkt4D6KPDKey-SKtXGMFqQAxrJWsWPzKYTOpnBDmKoLgMp-YmMO1WBHk7Zw

From Hibernation Wood, Neverland Trail diverts into a narrow boardwalk which leads through a swamp and into the half-sunken remains of The Jolly Roger, Hook's much-loved galleon. As fate would have it, the ship has fallen into a state of despair following the last great battle between Pan and Hook. Now, the haunting reminder of the ship's former glory resides from within...

Once inside, we find the rotting vessel to take us into...into...the streets of London? This is the setting of Peter Pan's Flight to Neverland, the venerable Disney classic. Built in the true "E-Ticket" fashion, the time-honored attraction puts us aboard a flying pirate galleon, sprinkled with Pixie Dust, where we set sail with Peter Pan over the streets of London, past the second star to the right and straight on into Neverland, where we encounter Captain Hook and the grinning crocodile. It seems only fitting that Hook, Smee, Peter and Wendy make meet 'n' greet appearances in the harbor near the wreckage of the Jolly Roger, often engaging in mischievous antics with one another.

Smuggler's Cove, a virtual "graveyard of lost ships," finds its namesake in the sheer amount of illegal activities and foul trades that have happened here in the past. Several wrecks and hulls have washed ashore, where decaying timber and hordes of barnacles create a haunting, subaquatic playground. A capstan wheel levies a treasure chest from beneath the surface of the lagoon, revealing a skeletal brigand still hanging on. Rusted pumps allow us to pump seawater from a waterlogged wreckage, revealing long-lost skeletons still in possession of their earthly treasures. Nautical figureheads of an argumentative king and mermaid mark the entrance to Pontoon Bridge, which connects the shores of a rocky inlet, rocking and splashing in the lagoon when crossed, often uncovering bits of wreckage and displaced treasures beneath the shallow seawater.

“Perhaps ye knows too much… Ye seen the cursed treasure...you know where it be hidden… Now proceed at your own risk...these be the last friendly words you hear… You may not survive to pass this way again...”

Deep in the cavernous depths of Adventure Isle, we come upon the foreboding Grotto of Lost Souls. Despite the warning signs - a la Injun Joe's Cave - we enter this mysterious network of tunnels and caves, where the eerie refrain of "My Jolly Sailor Bold" echoes from wall to wall, accompanied by the eternal howl of an unseen hurricane. Lush waterfalls cascade into underground pools through jagged fissures in the rocks. Glistening crystals, stalagmites and stalactites reflect in the sheen of the rushing waters. Warning signs insist that we "follow the river" for our only hope of survival...

An expansive labyrinth of subterranean paths harken to the ghastly catacombs of Paris - the skeletal victims of a sunken galleon seen everywhere. At the base of a tower, built entirely from skulls, we find a wooden board, an epitaph etched onto it. "Here Lies the Crew of 'The Wicked Wench.' Dead Men Tell No Tales." The buried mast of a former galleon lies half-submerged into the earth, draped with kelp and seaweed.

OsBSo7LcL5iVcbXvLrFz0Xz1-XhHph2BcQeOpfL7P5OYzzbkW7ybxYdhi6tR3gMc90yR8Hu0eNH943Z5k5_a2ZIshMnXIjyYgSqMsrUfb4z4z5e2K32HukFf_OEtycWBWsXYpOjE

Once through an archway built from skulls and ribcages, a dark path takes us into an expansive, underground lake lined with glistening crystals and mysterious colors. Suddenly, a mighty sea serpent erupts from beneath the surface in a symphony of crashing waves and "mega" splashes. As if from nowhere, the great serpent clears his throat, and curiously, begins to sing Mozart's "Queen of the Night Aria." Herbert the Operatic Sea Serpent sports a pencil-thin mustache (made of kelp) and sings in every octave possible - soprano, alto, bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor, you name it. After an aria or two - or three - Herbert retreats beneath the surface, only to resurface moments later with a new favorite genre... Herbert's "twin" was once seen in the original Submarine Voyage at Disneyland...

The howl of a ghostly wind, rolling thunder and a frightening scream (perhaps one and the same with the Wicked Witch of Snow White) welcomes us to the Chamber of the Bottomless Pit, where, as expected, one could fall for an eternity... Wise Willy, the undead first mate of The Wicked Wench lurks in a "private" cave near the Bottomless Pit, weaving tales of piracy and life on the Seven Seas. A use of the classic "Pepper's Ghost" effect, Wise Willy bears a striking resemblance to the infamous Hatbox Ghost, save for the eye-patch, beard and pirate attire.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPYeHLzCJkc

“Shipshape this anchorage for pleasure-seekin’ rogues… Aye! After months at sea, facin’ the perils o’ their adventurous trade...they was inclined to traffic their ill-gotten wealth for the pleasure of a lovely lassie’s voice and… Dead men tell no tales!”

Trekking deeper into the grotto, a possessed harpsichord beckons for us to step into the once-lavish interior of a buried galleon, partially consumed by jagged rocks and thundering waterfalls. On the starboard side, the Crew's Quarters, a dockside tavern filled with every rum, whiskey and grog known to piratedom resides. A pair of skeletal buccaneers have the time of their afterlives, eternally confined to a cobweb-draped countertop. One skeleton gazes into his dusty rum bottle, still boasting a bushy beard, while his partner guzzles an endless pull of firewater from his own bottle. Large water droplets drip into strategically placed pots and pans below, while in the background, girlish giggles and male chuckling emit from a spiral staircase leading into the abyss.
A pair of fossilized cats recline on the staircase, as does a skeletal parrot, frozen atop its cutlass-perch. From above the bar, a rather sensual painting hangs, portraying the world famous “Redhead” living her high life upon the high seas.

1RYiOudgdslX_6r_BY5JpkBCjcgHYwu0JUtHi_4zGGT_RSqcn-ahk1aT0PGRwMAeHqcCq9V2m-PK8FlEWQgAECV4OUi2ErYZfJU_DEY7sBePYzIUjy-26OphEc63RXpcl5SAwtAK

On the opposite side, the finely appointed private quarters of a ghostly sea captain are seen in the Captain’s Quarters. The old captain’s bones lie in his lavish bed, surrounded by the spoils of a lifetime of piracy. With his slender fingers (still covered in flesh), he clutches a magnifying glass over an outspread treasure map, unintentionally magnifying his eye socket to grotesque proportions. On a nearby perch, another, but this time living parrot chatters the day away, blissfully unaware.

“Morgan says the streets are paved with gold! Storm the fort and steal a fortune. Squawk! Drink up, me cutthroats, time to sail! Avast there, mates - wait for dark! Squawk! Our fortune’s made, lads. Quick now - we’re keepin’ the ladies waiting! Aye, Captain, your heart’s as black as your beard. We’ll have a hot time in the old town tonight.”

“Pretty baubles, think ye, and a king’s ransom in gold. Aye, blood money, and cursed it be...cursed by the black-hearted rogues what left it. Who knows what evil spell lurks ‘neath each cursed chest?”

Lastly, we discover Flint’s Treasure Cave, the object of many a pirate’s desire - the legendary treasure cache of Captain Flint, the murderous captain of Treasure Island. Sitting atop a mountain of gold doubloons, jewels, and pieces of eight is Flint himself, having returned to his prized hideaway, even in death. Four of his doomed crew members lay at the base of the “mountain,” having been shot by Flint for “knowing too much.” The evil brigand clutches a stack of gold doubloons in his gnarled hand, a wispy string of pearls in the other.

As we depart for the world above, the haunting voice of Davy Jones beckons for us to one day meet our end aboard The Flying Dutchman, or worse, in Davy Jones' Locker. The chest containing Jones' still-beating heart rests in a precarious alcove, the rhythm of his heart's throbbing echoing throughout the cavern...
To bid a congratulations on our survival, the friendly folks at Honest Marooned Pete’s welcome us to a remote soft serve yogurt, ice cream, juice and smoothie stand owned and operated by Honest Marooned Pete, a bearded fellow long-since trapped on the island after a seabound gambling crusade went horribly wrong.

Back on the mainland, we encounter one final attraction, the "pinnacle" of Pirate's Cove - Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure. In this updated, trackless lift of Shanghai Disneyland's celebrated E-Ticket of the same name, we enter a cavern in the base of a rocky, subtropical mountain embroidered with - you guessed it - more shipwrecks!

mEwUmnLXGaJdKgAxF7CLOKdOst346bfo_ubnsV3pfrRPdETAK3r5-vn-TZHsqV4LXm2k1S_vAXc-lxHRmhid_UF3jYG6F3Ex51ZxiYn5SU7yThFHWqwGarT_JEmC6SyhA_Mcxxou

Alongside Captain Jack Sparrow, the most charismatic rogue to ever sail the West Indies, we embark on an adventure on, over, and under the deep blue aboard a unique “all-terrain ship,” recently built by the East India Trading Company. Only, instead of going on some "trading mission," we are sent across and beneath the seas in search of Davy Jones’ sunken plunder - all while crossing paths with pirates, mermaids and the mythical Kraken.

As we depart from the mountain's cavernous interior, we trek through a tropical forest blanketed in an eerie fog, where wild beasts and cursed spirits lurk in the underbrush. Having entered the relative safety of the Caves of Misfortune, a former prison, we stumble upon the skeletal remains of unfortunate buccaneers, lost to time. When an inanimate skeleton magically transforms into Captain Jack, we are suddenly swallowed by the tide, venturing deep into the shark-infested Graveyard of Lost Ships, where the monstrous Kraken and Davy Jones await...

The East India Trading Co. acts as Battle for the Sunken Treasure’s resident gift shop, selling merchandise pertaining to the film franchise and attraction, including pins, “treasure,” and plastic pirate weaponry. This final (and thematically appropriate) port-of-call bids us farewell as our clockwise trip of Adventureland heads east toward the “glitz and glamour” of what appears to be a bustling seaport from the pages of 1,001 Arabian Nights.

Continuing on with Adventureland, still dedicated to my good friend, @TheOriginalTiki.

Unlike Pirate's Cove and Paradise Springs, Arabian Marketplace is built beyond the park's massive berm. Why for? Arabian Marketplace is added to the park at least several years after opening, marking the park's first "expansion."

“The desert night hides a thousand stories…”

Having journeyed north from the Adventureland Veranda, we find an askew fork in the road, where tall palms and dense foliage provide ample shade from the blistering sun. Whereas the path directed north leads us to the Caribbean tropics of Pirate's Cove, the path leading to the west trails beneath the railroad tracks and into a bizarre, sand-swept landscape reminiscent of 1,001 Arabian Nights. Crumbling ruins and the remnants of a long-departed caravan scar the rugged trail. In the distance, we hear the music of Arabian minstrels, the chatter of bartering merchants, and the howl of a distant sandstorm. Ornate domes and lavish architecture built from sand, mud and ancient bricks further complement the appearance of hand-painted mosaics, trickling fountains and ominous statues. We have just crossed beneath the Kingdom Railway and into a Middle Eastern bazaar, teeming with mystery, fantasy and history. This is the Arabian Marketplace, the third and final sub-land in Adventureland.

“My story is of such marvel that if it were written with a needle on the corner of an eye, it would yet serve as a lesson to those who seek wisdom.”

Before us resides a mysterious labyrinth of lavish squares, weathered facades, winding alleys, and lush gardens, where oriental merchants sell their exotic goods from the relative comfort of their shops and stalls. The seductive but haunting music of the Agrabah Minstrels fills the air, a throwback to the adventures of Ali Baba and Aladdin, or an unnerving excursion through the forgotten tombs and pyramids of Egypt. Brass lanterns and colorful canopies welcome us to the expansive Adventureland Bazaar, the largest shop in Adventureland.

kAR2j5HYWLAFwLHjpVdcg--qMgJdYP7hQCjySxmUtzOylm8RXa4sf6Pjcf5S89mYFC155_zgEEigC9Z9quiZXkgouZ7tWUkMlN_mGf_Vd05AJKAYijmYxmrf4Hmt92uyMTPhyTqr

Throughout the bazaar, a series of thematic boutiques compose a marketplace of old, straight from the reels of Aladdin. An intricate glass canopy provides protection from the desert sun, while brass lanterns and Moroccan sconces illuminate the streets come nightfall. Treasures of Scheherazade is the first boutique, said to have once belonged to Scheherazade, the narrator of 1,001 Arabian Nights. While mosaics found throughout the boutique recall the many tales of Scheherazade, the teetering shelves appear overstocked with oriental rugs, sconces, dresses of Egyptian cotton, belts, bags of scented Moroccan leather, and jewelry of the Far East.

Agrabah Delights, the adjacent boutique is more of a sweets shop than anything, selling peppermint tea, fresh fruits, odd candies and other treats of the Middle East, China, Greece and Africa. Tangier Traders, named for the city in northern Morocco, sells Moroccan clothing and shoes, mirrors built from actual camel bones, and ornate daggers. Notably, a collection of swords, spears and daggers appear jammed into the ceiling, rumored to be the reclaimed weapons of Sindbad the Sailor's enemies.

In a manner most...er...reptilian, Queen of the Serpents, named for the mysterious snake-woman of Scheherazade’s tales, provides a wide array of jewelry cases, Indian tablecloths, trinkets, wood-carvings, jade ornaments, and perfumes from the bazaars of Egypt. Found in a "hidden" alcove of the boutique in question is Aladdin’s Other Lamp. In the grand tradition of “fortunetellers” in Adventureland - Fortune Red, Shrunken Ned - the drop of a coin and a rub of the lamp calls upon Aladdin’s other Genie, a mystical servant from the hidden sands in the so-called “Cave of Pretty Neat Wonders.” In lieu of three wishes, we are instead offered a prediction of our future, always foretold with a magical dose of deadpan comedy.

Egyptian hieroglyphics and twin statues of Anubis craft the threshold to Pharaoh’s Tomb, a gloomy, cavernous boutique filled with the spoils of a yesteryear expedition to the Land of the Nile. Haunting refrains and wall decor reminiscent of the innermost sanctums of a long-lost pyramid tell the timeless legends of gods and goddesses, long-since lost to the sands of time. Figurines, papyrus illustrations, model ships, and other trinkets and oddities of an Egyptian expedition line the sandstone countertops and shelves, while King Ed, a mummified cousin of King Tut, resides in an upright sarcophagus. Like Shrunken Ned, Fortune Red and Aladdin's Other Lamp before him, King Ed provides strange predictions, macabre fortunes and peculiar dating advice from beneath his collection of bandages...though, it is often difficult to make out what he is saying underneath all those bandages...

Having since left the Adventureland Bazaar behind us, we come across The Oasis, a lavish dining hall held within the ornate interior of a Sultan’s palace. Savory cuisine and spritely belly dancing provide a “taste of Morocco,” with such entrees as roast lamb, shish kebab, couscous, hummus, and brochette of chicken. Bengal Barbecue, represented by Rajah, Princess Jasmine's faithful pet tiger, delves in the "art" of skewers; sweet or spicy beef, chicken, bacon-wrapped asparagus, or fresh vegetables.

Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Jafar, and Genie can often be found meandering about the Marketplace, most often near the Flying Carpets of Aladdin. Here we climb aboard a colorful, 4-person carpet with the assistance of an unseen Genie. As we soar above the lush flora and weathered walls of the Arabian Marketplace, we recall the beauty and romance of "A Whole New World." Naturally, an unruly camel has set up shop outside the attraction, often dousing passengers with water mid-flight.

In Aladdin's Enchanted Passage, we wander through a narrow maze of stone halls and towering domes, where, before our eyes, the timeless tale of Aladdin is retold through miniature scenes from the city of Agrabah. This passage, of course, serves as a fitting portal to Genie - Live! Held in the "historic" Magic Lamp Theater, Genie - Live! acts in the spirit of Turtle Talk with Crush or Stitch Encounter, only, instead of Crush or Stitch, we encounter the wisecracking Genie of Aladdin, in spectacular 4D!

Sindbad's Seven Voyages completes the third and final sub-land of Adventureland, an inspired lift of the original - and current - attraction from Tokyo DisneySea. Held within a magnificent fortress, we board a rustic trade vessel set for a course on the Arabian Sea. Alongside the heroic Sindbad and Chandu, his loyal tiger cub, we embark on a musical quest with a unique dash of Pixie Dust. Our seven voyages follow the compass "of our hearts" enroute to an island infested with monstrous Rocs, the underground lair of a vicious Cyclops, the tropical coast of India, and a rocky channel filled with lighthearted apes.

Set to the hero's anthem of "Compass of Your Heart," a piece penned by the legendary Alan Menken, Sindbad's Seven Voyages speaks to the true heart and soul of Adventureland; a virtual wonderland of fact and fantasy.

When is the next part going to be posted? I thought the entire thing was finished. o_O

It is finished, believe it or not, haha. It takes me an entire day to copy & paste each portion of the project and move it here. Mostly because simply copying and pasting from the master document quite literally reformats everything, changes the font, pictures, etc. So it's almost as if I have to go through and rewrite it. Since most of my days aren't free 24/7... Haha. It's a weird feeling of limbo to be honest.

I'm debating as to whether or not I should continue posting the project piece-by-piece, call it quits from here to focus on SYWTBAI and the revival of Open Brainstorming (and post this project on another date), or patch up the now-mangled master document and post a link here. Thoughts?

I say a google doc would work best -- especially if it's so large.

Actually consecutive long forum posts slow down my computer making it hard to read at times, or just waiting 20-30 secs after clicking to the next page to let the page load fully before scrolling:p

I'd have to agree... I can never properly load Pages 1 and 3 of this thread due to so much content.

Inspiration! Team Cap's project from Season 14 - posted on a webpage with graphic and music - has inspired me to nix the idea of a Google Doc and create a webpage for this dream resort. Between work, school and SYWTBAI, my goal is to have this project out in March, almost, if not an exact year to the date of this thread's conception.
