I love them both but Rapunzel wins for me, because I can relate to Rapunzel a lot more. Merida and I are basically complete opposites.

I'm voting Merida. Actually, I disqualified Rapunzel. How is it possible that she can swing from her hair, and lower it down all the way to the ground from that gigantic tower and have it go every which way in the room... but then do it up in a tidy little braid and walk around like it's nothing? I think she uses extensions!

I can totally relate to Merida's hair. Mine was the same way at that age (now it's merely wavy).

Plus, it's almost a character itself--it seems to have a mind of its own, whereas Rapunzel has to manually operate hers.

Rapunzel! Her songs are better. Plus the hair is magical people.... MAGICAL!! I love Merida's spirit and toughness, but Rapunzel can hold her own too... Rapunzel is the reason we have never cut my daughter's (4) hair too.... she just wont let us do it!
