Merchandise For Pets?

This will be the first time my wife and I will be visiting WDW since getting a puppy. I never really had a reason to look before now and couldn't recall seeing any pet (more specifically dog) merchandise in the parks. Any ideas where our best bet would be to look when we visit in October? Thanks

I want to say about three years ago now. I did buy some dog souvenirs for my SIL's dog and shipped them to her. That is too bad if they aren't carrying pet merchandise, so many people love to spoil their fur babies. :)

Disney's missing out on a huge market. Never could understand why they dont push the connection of Disney pets in their films to sales. People do love to spoil their pets. We never found much available around the parks, most items were found at DTD shops... leashes, collars, tags, small items. The Best Friends pet resort on the road just past POFQ has a few things on sale in their lobby too.

We found stuff for our neighbors dog in World of Disney in DTD 3 years ago. We didn't look for it on this trip, though.

I was there a little over a week ago and couldn't find anything for my dog. I wish they would still sell pet supplies. I know I would always pick up a few things if they did.

We found the best selection at the Polynesian gift shop. Kind of weird. This was three or four years ago now though.

We bought a small dog collar for our cat and she chewed it.

There use to be a store at Downtown Disney dedicated to pets. However it has closed down several years ago...

I've see merchandise for pets at random shops, just cannot remember which. But I agree, the marketing geniuses at Disney are sure missing out on this one. However, I don't think I could get my cat to wear Mouse ears...

Gee, neither cat looks happy. My cat hates to have her claws clipped and since it would require two people to do it or I would have to tie her up, I pay for the vet to do it. So, I don't think she would tolerate either set of ears.

My DW and I agree that Disney is really missing the boat on this one. The last thing we recall buying for our dog was about 4-5 years ago. We are always contemplating buying stuffed animals for her but we think better of it.

We noticed a very diminished amount of pet merchandise shortly after Best Friends came on board. It may be coincidental, but the timing was interesting.
