What does everyone think of memory maker? we are going in Sept 2015 with our daughter, she will be 13 months, it will be her first trip, many for us. We are also taking my father, her grandfather. Do you think it is worth the cost, i usually end up buying some pictures from the photopass.... thoughts?

Personally, I do not think that the memory maker is not worth the price! If they would get pics of you on the rides like you really want and some ride pics, THEN I might say its worth it. But I think the pics you take yourself will be more memorable. Your daughter is just over a year old...certainly you will go again and maybe then take those memorable pics you want. I would take this trip to introduce her to all the different characters and teach her not to be afraid of any of them including the Villians! Either way you all will have agreat time sharing something as special as Disney with your daughter for the first time!

We did it on our last trip. In my opinion, it wasn't remotely worth it. We got a lot of photos -- but no more "good" ones than we typically get by taking our own. Also, MemoryMaker doesn't include stock photos or other extras (I just download my own stock photos online if I want them for the souvenir photo book I make on Shutterfly when we return, anyway). If you have a half-decent camera of your own and don't mind asking CMs or Photopass photogs to take your picture with it (they will happily oblige, always, at every location), and if you aren't hugely interested in on-ride photos (ours were fun for the novelty, but none of them were very clear and some didn't "come out" at all), MemoryMaker is unnecessary.

I think Memory Maker is fantastic for extra-special trips that you want well-documented. We used it for our wedding/honeymoon in June, knowing that we'd want tons and tons of photos to share, and came out of it with 200+ images. I don't foresee using it on future trips.

We got Memory Maker for free in July. Of course, none of the photographers knew this. Over half of our photos were out of focus, off centered or dark from shadows...and I am not a fussy picture person...had we paid for this, I would have been mad!

We are bringing my granddaughter to Disney in 4 weeks....she will be 20 months. Where can you have pictures taken like the one you mentioned in the above quote.....pictures with Tink in her hand. I would love to get some pictures of her like this. Thanks! :cat:

Just my opinion but if I am spending that much on Disney what's a couple more hundred? We have always been happy with it. Something thAt might not be wide spreAd knowledge yet is that they are working toward videos on some things. After our august trip we had video attached to tower of terror and a magic shot in new fantasylAnd of lumier.

For the person asking how u get special shots...all u have to do is ask if the photographer has magic shots. Tink is usually found on Main Street. You'll love it!

Magic shots can be found in all parks and just about anywhere. I have been told if the photographer is on a tripod which happens towards evening they cannot do magic shots.

Absolutely worth it in our opinion. We paid the $150 price in advance and we got almost 380 pictures (mostly rides). So, that's about 50 cents per picture. Well worth it to have those memories.

I always buy in advance for the discount because I know I want it. But can someone else confirm for her that you can buy it after you get back if you decide you want all of the pictures it just costs more. Or do you have to actually pay for it when the trip begins?

I wasn't sure about buying the memory maker, but my boyfriend convinced me into it. I forced him to get his picture taken at every photo person we saw (ok, about 1/2 of them) and he was not happy as he doesn't love his picture taken. Turns out he convinced me to get it because on our 5th day there he proposed! We have a ton of great shots from that and so many others documenting this very special trip. I'm so glad I got the package, but in the future we probably won't get it since he was such a grumpy gus about the rest of the photo ops. Most of our shots are absolutely wonderful though. Clear, well framed and the magic shots are cute.

I was thinking of buying in advance at the discount price. We stop at almost all the photpass photographers throughout the parks and always want to buy all of them and then it's expensive so that's why i was leaning towards it but had never done it before .
