1) I'm not sure if this should go in the Trip Planning forum or not, so apologies if this belongs elsewhere.

2) I seem to recall from my Jan '13 trip planning, some threads here mentioning impromptu character meets in one of the DHS show buildings? Namely the characters that appear in Fantasmic! Am I going crazy, or is this true? And if true -- which building was it? The Magic of Disney Animation?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!!

I am not positive of any impromptu character meet and greets, but the Art of Animation building would be the most probable place they would happen at DHS.

A few years ago (2008 or 2009) we were in the Magic of Disney Animation about 5 in the afternoon and a bunch of characters came walking through the door. The kids were able to walk from character to character with hardly any line. They met Jafar and The Queen of Hearts, Mary Poppons and the penguins, Friar Tuck, Robin Hood, the Sheriff of Nottingham, Meeko, and a few others... I can't remember them all now. It was amazing. We asked a cast member if they do this every day and they said yes. Recently reading these boards, someone referred to it as "character palooza" and mentioned that it was moved outside to the Streets of Anerica area. Would love to do it again though.

I agree with Mukta. Definitely sounds like characterpalooza. Not really "impromptu" as much as just not published. Any day there isn't a F! showing at a certain time, they should do it. Check out the info on the linked site to keep up to date. They have moved it to a few different places around DHS lately. KennyThePirate may be the best way to keep track of where it is.
