Memories of your first visit to WDW.

My first visit was in October of 1986. (during my honeymoon) We drove over from Clearwater, we were going to the Magic Kingdom.
We determined the park was opening at 9:00am. We got to the parking lot, at just about 9:00am. We took a tram to the ticket center,
took the ferry over to Magic Kingdom and finally got into the park around 10:00am. We made a circuit around the park, going from Adventureland. I remember coming back down Main Street about 6:00pm, just as lights were coming on. It was a lot of fun. I remember
riding the "skyliner" from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland. Definitely understood, after that, that more planning needed to be done before a trip to WDW.

August 2000. My mom filmed a lot of it, which I really appreciate now as an adult. I was terrified of EVERY ride, cried all the way through Buzz and refused to go on Haunted Mansion (my mom got frustrated and made me wait outside with my grandma while she went on alone). Very vividly remember some of the Lego displays at Downtown Disney that are no longer there, like the snoring man on the bench. The McDonald's with the cup-lamps. We also have paper leaves scrapbooked from the outdoor Pocahontas show, which I assume was going on at DAK at the time. Only time in my life I've ever done a meal (breakfast) at CRT, but my memories of it are very fuzzy. Belle also told me I looked just like her, which seems to be a pattern in this thread! We also ate at Garden Grill, and the character interactions with Chip and Dale were super memorable. They took the butterfly clips out of my hair and put them on their heads.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience was still running at MGM at the time, and they had that play area with the huge blades of grass. Also remember the huge Coke bottle with the top that would pop off at random intervals, and the car you could "lift" off the ground. For some bizarre reason, collars and leashes with "invisible dogs" were big at the time, and I begged my grandma for one. Got yelled at in 50s Prime Time for bringing a dog into the restaurant and thought I was really in trouble.

I was five at the time, and it's funny how disjointed the memories are. I couldn't tell you where in the park most of these attractions were situated, even though I know all four layouts like the back of my hand now.
