I realize pavers at mk are no more; trying to come up with a memorial idea for daughter who passed without getting to the MK, a dream of hers. We will be in mk in sept. Any help is appreciated

I'm so very sorry for your loss... I don't particularly have any ideas, but I don't doubt that others on the forums can come up with something for you and your family.

There really isn't much in the way of leaving any kind of permanent memorial in the park like the bricks. An idea would be to take a photograph of her, purchase a balloon then attach the photo to the balloon and release it in the hub/main st. area. You could also perhaps photograph "her" balloon flying away from MK with the castle in the background. Sorry for your loss.

Perhaps releasing a balloon in front of the castle, or wearing a shirt or pin with her image, might be a way to honor her memory.

On a personal note, I'm so sorry for your loss.

While not permanent, maybe talk to guest relations to see about getting some video/photos put into the "Magic, Memories, and You" show that's projected on Cinderella's Castle for you to watch/film during your trip.

And my condolences for your loss.

WOW not what I expected to see, really brings you a dose of reality. Im so very sorry your loss. S8film's idea with the baloon is nice, Id call disney to see if they can facilitate that type of photo oppertunity..not sure they can, but I wouldnt hesitate to ask, again...truly sorry to hear this.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope that you find grace and comfort as time continues to march forward.

I'm not savvy regarding how this works, but I offer you an idea or two. First, you can see how it is that photos are chosen for the Magic, Memories and You show. I don't know if this is even possible, but inquire as to whether or not they would be willing to place within the show a photo of you and your wife holding an 8x10 photo of your daughter within some location at the Magic Kingdom. You could then photograph and videotape the evening show.
I realize that you are probably looking for something permanent, but I'm not aware of anything of that nature that is available at this time. Another thought is to perhaps take a stuffed animal or some other prized possession of hers, and photograph it at specific locations within the Park.

My ideas are a little lame, but it is only because I wish that I could help you further. I hope that this trip becomes more sweet than bitter for you and you wife.

There's nothing so tragic than the loss of a child. So sorry you have had this happen in your life.
Don't know if this would be appropriate. In a somewhat similar circumstance we did this. Did she have a favorite stuffed animal or doll? Bring it along on your trip and photograph it in various spots along your travels. Upon your return put together a memorial book so you could look back on the trip with some less sadness.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Other posters have made some excellent suggestions for things to do in your wonderful daughter's memory. Something of this nature, I would, by all means, ask Disney directly, if there is something they can suggest doing, in her honor. Again, I am so sorry for you loss. I am sure she will be looking down on you when you enter Magic Kingdom!! My very best to you and your family...

Possibly get a small rock engraved with her name or something similar, and then drop that in the lagoon? Or a coin with her picture attached dropped in the wishing well? Can't think of anything larger that wouldn't attract attention.

Sorry for your loss.

I don't have any ideas, although the balloon and photo idea has some potential. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child.

We are thankful for the kind words. The rock in lagoon or balloon release may be good. What is
magic memories and you show? Not familiar with it

I'm so sorry for your loss, but I would definitely call guest relations. I'm sure they can A- Do something or B- Help you come up with ideas. If she had a princess that looked like her(or a favorite princess or another treasured item), perhaps like JIMINYCR said bring that with you on all the rides, ETC... or you can ask a CM if you can get into the control room and sign the guest book in her name at her favorite ride.

I was passing through the forum and came across this post. I want to say that I am truly sorry for your loss.

You might want to talk with, or e-mail someone at guest relations about arranging some type of memorial. You never know, there may be something we are not aware of.
