Hi, we are going to be at WDW 22nd-29th May this year. I found out this is Memorial Day Weekend. Being British I had no idea that this was even a thing lol. Just wondering what kind of crowds we can expect that week?

Memorial day crowds?

The weekend will probably be pretty crowded, especially at DHS with it being Star Wars weekend. It looks like Touring Plans is predicting a range of 4-10, with Sunday the 26th being a 10.

Thank you guys! Sunday I think I scheduled as universal day so that was some lucky planning. At least now we know what to expect!

We did that memorial day weekend as part of a week 2 years ago. It really was not that bad.

We too have been there over Memorial Day, and going back this year as well. We have actually found the week of spring breaks-and Presidents Day- to be a lot more hectic and busy. I think you will be fine as long as you go knowing it may be busy, especially on the weekend, you should be fine.

Just an FYI, when we went it was also Gay Days, and I only mention not because I care about someones orientation, totally support it and think Gay Days are fine, just find out if it's happening at that time again and figure out their schedule(one park per day is where all participants are supposed to go) and avoid that park if you want a little less of a crowd, though I don't recall really working our schedule around it too much and never noticed anything.

Wow we seem to hit the motherlode in terms of events. If I remember right gay days started just after we left but still... It's the week before half term in England (for those who don't know, English schools have a week long break roughly half way through each term) so I thought we were dodging a bullet lol.

Yeah forgot it was Star Wars weekend when we went too, but still not too bad at HS, maybe save HS for the weekdays

Yeah I think I scheduled our day time HS for the saturday, so I might have to re-jig my plan a bit. Neither of us are particularly crazy about star wars so we don't mind giving that a miss.
