Meeting multiple characters...?

Quick question about meeting characters...
Long time since I've actively wanted to meet characters as when I was a kid they used to just roam freely around MK for example before the structured wait in line stuff but now this is something to consider for us as we have a 4 year old who is going to want to meet everyone!

My question is if you get in line at the Epcot character spot or Petes silly sideshow at MK as examples do you have to wait to meet each character in different lines or is it just one line and to get to meet all the ones who are there when it's your turn?

Going to have to do it either way but it got me thinking!

Any answers appreciated :)

Last year,at Epcot there was a single line to get in, and then you made it to the first character(Pluto or Goofy?). After you got done the line progressed to the next character and the next. If you don't to meet with a certain character, you simply go to line for the next one. Mickey for sure is the last one.
For Hollywood studios, they still had characters out in the area where the hat used to be. They all had their separate lines. Think Chip n Dale, Cruella DeVille, Minnie, the kitten from Aristrocats, etc

Depends on where you are.

Character Spot in Epcot one line for all of the characters. The number of characters has changed over the years. At least 3.

Animation Courtyard (think that's the name) in HS has separate lines for each character or character pair.

Pete's silly sideshow is divided in half. Two line - one for Goofy and Donald. The other for Minnie and Daisy.

It all depends on who you want to meet. If you google Kenny the Pirate he has some good tips for finding characters.

Thanks for that. Gives us more of an idea on how it works...

Don't mind lining up for 30 mins for example if we get multiple characters at the end but not 30 in 3 different lines!

Epcot character spot is structured which is nice. Yes u wait at each character but the lines seem to be way smaller then waiting other places. We find epcot the best place for characters bc of character spot and WS.

What sort of wait time is it to meet Merida from Brave? She is on our must do list. Sounds great meeting more than one character in some spots. Its only one in DLP.

She has one of the worst spots unfortunately. If you don't get there early before she arrives, you can easily spend 45-60 minutes waiting for her. And her line is off to the right of the castle on the walkway to Tommorrowland. Therefore there is NO SHADE at all to wait in. So that long wait is directly in the sun. Make sure you find what time she is coming out and be there AT LEAST 20-30 minutes early.

The longest wait I encountered was for Baymax and Hiro in DHS, over an hour. Fortunately its indoors so there's no standing in a queue in the boiling hot sunshine like Merida. If you want any of the 'popular' characters like A&E then its definitely a wise move to Fastpass it especially if you have kids with you.

I would try to find a schedule of sorts for Character Palooza at DHS. Its an unannounced gathering of rarer characters. In March we were able to meet Genie, Mulan, Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Dopey and some others in a short amount of time. It also comes with some insanity and I even got a rush after

Thanks for your help DisneyRoy. Thats such a shame, we really wanted to meet her before the halloween party while in costume. Better break the news to my daughter :( They need to fastpass+ Merida
