Media Event Credentials

I'm a freelance writer from Canada and I will be staying at Disney during the time of the big media event on the fourth.

Does anyone know how i can go about getting press credentials for the event?

IIRC, you have to be affiliated with a Disney-recognized media outlet. Bob Sehlinger had to ask Disney if I could go in his place for the Unofficial Guide, as he'll be out of the country. They said yes, so I'm going, but they could just as easily have said no, especially since they're paying for airfare, lodging, admission, food, and more.

If you're freelancing, I think you'd have better luck if you could say you're working on an article for XYZ magazine, and get that magazine's editor to provide you with a letter of reference. Just don't claim to represent "Horse and Hound" - I understand that's been done.

theme park admission included

Okay - I've been granted press credentials for all the media events in the first week of may. They also let me purchase a companion pass for my girlfriend for $275. One question I forgot to ask them... do the press credentials act as a park-hopper... that is, do they give me admission to the theme parks?

Or do I have to get tickets seperately?

The credentials should state. Every one I've seen has "valid for admission from...to..." Call you MR Rep.
