We have been in most of the restaruants menus posted on the web sites, the prices were a bit high. Are the portions large enough to share? Will they let you order off the kids menu? Some will maybe let you, but you have to pay a little more? has anyone heard that.

Quite a few of the meals are large enough to share, and its done frequently. Most counter service places will let you order off the kids menu, I've seen people refused at sit down restaurants. (sometimes they will let you, but charge adult prices).
Some people order a meal of appetizers (for smaller portions) or hit the buffets so you can choose just what & how much you want.

Tell them you want the smaller kids portion because you do not want to aid and abett the growing obesity in the united states, and that if they give you any trouble, you should accuse them of being fat merchants!

If you are all adults, they probally won't let you order off the kids menu at sit down restaurants. Quick service shouldn't be a problem.

Sharing meals will also probally not be allowed at the sit down restaurants.

But it doesn't hurt to ask.

One thing we have done is go to the buffet style rest. for a late lunch, before they change to dinner prices. Then for dinner go to a counter service and have a kids meal or just get the sandwich and split one order of fries. The plus side to this is you save room for an evening ice cream for the parade, fireworks etc!

The website mousesavers.com has some great tips for saving money on food inside the parks. One thing I learned is that you can order a la carte at the counter service restaurants. Although, it is not advertised on the menus.

The site offers some other tips as well so you may want to check it out.:)
