May crowd levels...I'm scared

I just subscribed to touringplans and checked the crowd levels for our upcoming trip in May. Yikes! Three days of our trip are level 9's, three 7's and one five. I am panicking!!! Two years ago we went the last week in May and crowds were terrible. Other people who we met in line told us we had just missed light crowds the week before. So I planned this trip a week earlier than last time. Crowds don't look any better. Should I cancel? Last trip it was not unusual to wait for a ride 1-1.5 hrs. That's not magical. Help!!!!

What are the dates of your trip?

The weekend to avoid is 22-25, as that is Memorial Day weekend. With things the way they are, the rest of the month shouldn't be bad.

My family went in May last year. I think it was around the second week.... yep it was the 5th-13th. I can't remember it being horribly crowded. If I remember correctly the longest we waited for a ride was maybe 30 mins for EE.

I think we timed it right, before Memorial Day weekend and before schools were out for the summer.

I've been the second week of May and the week ending with Memorial Day weekend.. I didn't find the week too busy but the weekend was practically a write off.. I actually dragged my hubby to see wishes on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and I actually wish we hadn't done that.. The walk just from the end of Main St to the front gate was horrendous. Considering that you are leaving before the heavy days, I wouldn't be too concerned.. Have a great trip!!
