so we have always gone in August but this time my daughter and I will be going in May ,how are the crowds usually at this time,also we are staying at pop and I am hoping to get a closer room to front of complex

We'll be there the same time, it will be our third May in as many years. Crowds are not bad, you'll just miss the race weekend and the cheer competition going on that weekend before too so you'll have some of those folks sticking around. The 4th will be NUTS at HS so be prepared for that. Mornings are cool and the afternoons are warm with the occasional pop up shower, probably not as bad as August.

Early May is a great time to visit. We visit each year around that time, give or take a few days. We've always had luck with lower crowd levels. Some years we've had more rain than others, but we throw on poncho's and still have a great time. I just had a baby, so this May has been moved to our first Halloween time trip. I hope to get back to early May after that though. :)

Have been at WDW on May 3 (our wedding anniversary) for at least the past 10 years, no complaints about crowds or weather. We'll be at Animal Kingdom Lodge from May1-5 this year, look out for us. ;)

May is always a great time to visit. Crowds aren't as intense and the weather is much more agreeable. :)

Late May starts to pick up with the first of the Star Wars Weekends...a bit more crowded, but still not unbearable. :)

We will be at VWL that week also!! We haven't done May in a few years, but from what I remember its a great time to go. 61 days...can't wait!!

How come the studios be crazy on the 4th?

We visited May 4-10, 2014. The weather was beautiful and crowds were moderate -- it was a great time to go.

Crowds aren't bad except at HS for Star Wars week I believe. Weather can get hot, but nothing too bad. I believe you're catching the end of the F&G festival as well, which is awesome at Epcot.

We can be pretty nuts when it comes to Star Wars related items. For example I've been walking around with this in my wallet, I'm pretty sure its the last year of paper FP for a "May the 4th". Worry not though, I have a pristine one I keep under lock and key ;-)
