I know May 2014 is a little off, but I am just so excited to go!! It will be a short trip(Fri-Mon), but I am the one calling all the shots, so any ADR suggestions would be great! I am going to plan this trip crazily, but it will keep me very happy.

True, but with my short time frame I kinda want to try some new things you know?
True, but if you plan on doing sit down at MK at all, that would be the one I would do. Tony's is hit or miss, Cinderella's castle is ridiculously expensive and the food is not that good, and Liberty Tree is not that good. Crystal Palace I've never eaten at, but I've heard other members complain. My recommendation is BOG.

If you want to eat someplace new, I would suggest the MK resort area. Narcosis's at Grand Floridian is pretty good, but pricey. Grand Floridian cafe is pretty good, but nothing special. The Wave is pretty good as well, but again, nothing special. Kona I've heard is pretty good from my parents. I have a pineapple, nut, strawberry, and guava allergy and can't eat there. I always end up with steak and french fries. o_O BOG is by far the best one in that area and receives my pick. But ultimately, it is up to you:).

My friend REEAALLLY wants me to eat at O'hana for dinner. I did kona once or twice while staying at the Polynesian. I ate at the wave for my mom's birthday in 2009. Pretty good. Thanks for your suggestions !! :)

Just keep in mind with Ohana that it's a set menu verses getting your pick. My family likes Kona better, but again, up to you. Absolutely do not do the Luau. I did it not too long ago, and not only did they handle my food allergies poorly (never have had this happen at a Disney restaurant before!) but the rest of my group said the food was bad and the show stupid. You're better off at Kona or Ohana. I also recommend Kona for breakfast if you want to get your Polynesian food fix in that way (though in all honesty, none of it is like what I got in the real Hawaii). My mom raves about the Pineapple Macadamia Nut pancakes there. I like the blueberry pancakes and the breakfast platter. The potatoes are so good. I wasn't wild about the Tonga toast, but some people love it, though I would definitely share it! You can get a reservation if it makes you feel better, but for breakfast, you probably don't need one.

And you're quite welcome.:)

I forgot. If you're in the Animal Kingdom area, Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge is my pick.

Is Boma the one with the steak and mac and cheese that looks so amazing in all the pictures?? I plan on doing the Everest Challenge, so I would be at AK just for the night that is. What do you mean by set menu at Ohana? Like each night the menu is different and you dont have many choices?

It's family style, so rather than choosing off of a menu, your food is brought to you from a menu. Same deal at the Luau. It's unlimited food, but the reason we don't like it is because choices are limited. Here's a menu for Ohana. As you can see, there is only one dessert option. More power to you if that's what you would like to have, but by comparison, here's a menu for Kona. As you can see, the menu has a wider variety. It's also cheaper to eat at Kona than at Ohana. Kona will cost at most $30 per adult while Ohana costs at least $30 per person (I'm not sure of the exact pricing). Don't get me wrong; some people love Ohana, but not worth it IMO.

Boma is a buffet with African-inspired dishes. Because it is a buffet, it'll be about $30-36, plus the cost if you decide to order alcohol, but IMO it's much more worth it to spend the money there than at Ohana. There's a lot more of a selection, and the prime rib is fantastic (as is everything, but especially the prime rib). I think that's where you mean with the steak and mac and cheese. IDK, I only eat Mac and Cheese if it comes out of the blue box, lol.

In the end, of course, it is up to you. That's just my advice. :)

Any time;). I can't speak for the other AKL restaurants, but I definitely recommend Boma. I'm picky too, not to mention I have food allergies, but there is food there that I will eat.

The Steak and Mac and Cheese is a dish served at Jikos. Just to clarify.

Oh...and it looks really good! I am going to try it this coming trip (the table below us got it, and while it sounds odd, it looked delicious and the guy devoured it!)
