May 2-9 crowds?

Howdy folks,

My family and I will be at Disney May 2-9. How are the crowds then? My guess is since school should still be in session all over America, the crowds should be relatively light. Is my guess correct?

You should be ok, my family, friends and I usually go the second week of May. We have found that the parks are less crowded and everything just seems to be less hectic. Have Fun!

See, I didn't even look at it from that angle. Although, I remember always taking our bands trips in March or April. Our school district didn't allow trips to be taken in May because it was so close to final exams. Let's just hope that is the case with other school districts.

Nonetheless, I don't think we will have the endure the crowds we did when we visited the parks in August. There were far too many people there for me.

I am really looking forward to this trip. We have not been to Disney since 2004.

Can't wait.

I will be there May 1st-8th. See you guys there .

We so need this vacation. We will be there with our two daughters (Ages: 1 & 3). This will be there first time at Disney. My 3 year old loves to watch the Disney shows that play on the Travel channel and what not. She gets soooo excited when she sees the castle and all of the characters. I am going to buy a new digital camera just for this trip.

I just don't know if I am going to make it until May 2. I am doing everything I can to keep my mind off of this trip because if I don't....Lord help me!!!!!

Oh the excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first two weeks of May are a GREAT time to go. You'll love it. There's a chance it can still be less than 90 degrees, and the parks will be (relatively) empty.

My wife and I took our honeymoon there this past May 10. We nearly walked on everything.

Disney Daddy is right about school/band trips. They often take place before May. School districts here forbid any field trips or other trips in May because of finals and the frequent need for snow make-up days.

Have a great time!!

We need time for things to happen.
We've been going the first..

Week of May for the last 3 years and it's been absolutely wonderful.
Perfect weather. A total of 1.5 hours of rain all 3 years combined!
Hot in the sun and nice in the shade!

The crowds are moderate, and definitely managable.

We'll be there from the 4th to the 11th...CYA there!;)

Sounds like you got some Disney fans in the making. My daughter is 8 and sometimes she knows when Disney World stuff is on TV before me. I agree with not being able to wait these next three months are going to be horrible.
