May '16 Not Looking So Good?

So, here's what I'm looking at for my May 4-10 trip:

BTMRR closed for refurb
Frozen not opened (right?)
Tiffin's AK restaurant not opened (right?)
River or Lights not ready (right?)

The last 3 are so close to completion, any news if one/two/three of them will be open while I'm there? At least Skipper's has opened (although I was hoping for an ADR system there).

Thanks for the info in advance!

Sorry to pile on... but Soarin' will be down, too.

I've seen some estimates (meaning, rumors) that Rivers of Light will be up and running in April (but of course, take that with a grain of salt). Frozen and the new AK restaurant will be opening in "spring 2016," no official date yet.

The thing is, no matter when you plan a trip, there are always going to be a bunch of things closed for refurbishment, and (especially given the slooooow pace of additions) something announced but not complete.

oh yes, Soarin' too, thanks for the reminder ;) I totally understand refurbs and new openings. Just seems like this little sliver of time has a lot that overlap. I'm thinking (hoping) Tiffins and ROL will be ready. The Frozen rumors are all over the place so it's hard to tell.

When we were there in February 2013 the Tangled area in MK was almost ready to open but it didn't make it before we had to leave. It opened a few days later which drove me crazy. I had to settle for looking at it and taking a few pictures from the second floor of Columbia Harbor House.

During my last trip in May 2014 SDMT had just been completed but had not yet opened. I remember one day standing opposite the ride entrance for about 2 hours because I "had a feeling they would open it soon". How wrong I was! Luckily on our last day it was the soft opening and the queue was around 3 hours. However my DW managed to snap up a fastpass+ for it. So softened the blow of having to go home. Apologies if I'm twisting the knife @MrHappy

There are always goign to be things closed or being worked on during a trip. Just go and have fun.
Oh, fun will be had indeed - of course, there's a million and 1 things to do without these few. But the potential gap in timing makes me anxiously wanting for that "thing" to be open when I'm there. As I said, it's soooo close!

I was in the same boat when planning our June trip. We changed it to August in hopes that more would be open. I hope you get some pixie dusted soft openings at the very least.
