Matterhorn Closed?

We're going to Disneyland in about three weeks. My Disney Maps App keeps showing that the Matterhorn is closed. Is this for a refurb or something? And when will it reopen? The grandkids really want to ride it. Thanks for any help.

Matterhorn Closed for Refurbishment

Yes, Matterhorn is closed from July 11th - Sept 1st for the first of a couple of refurbs to update the attraction, including all new sleds. Rumor is that is will go down again after the Holidays for a lengthy refurbishment.

Thanks, Travelguy. Sorry to hear it will be closed while we are there since this may be the only trip to DLR my grandkids will get to take in a long time.

Yeah, Im not real happy about it either. I am heading out to DLR in February and its my first trip 10 years to DLR. My home park is WDW.
