I am going to miss Matt Smith....I think he is a perfect Doctor Who.

Sorry for all of you who liked Matt Smith. I couldn't stand looking at him, and I found Amy Pond extreeeeeemely annoying, so I'm happy that I'll be able to go back to watching. Oddly enough, I liked Karen Gillan if I saw her on chat shows or otherwise out of character or being herself.
I do like Jenna-Louise Coleman's Clara, so I have caught a few recent episodes.

My growing-up Dr. Who was Tom Baker, and I did like Christopher Ecclestone as the Doctor and David Tennant as well, although he took a little while to grow on me. I even liked the 8th Doctor, I thought the movie was good, although it didn't go over well here.

Oh, and although I've objected to the Dr. getting progressively younger with each regeneration, it would be interesting to see Rupert Grint take it on, if only to see the Doctor's reaction to finally being ginger.

I don't think they would ever have a female as the Doctor... at least I hope not! I'd also feel that it would be gimmicky.

UPDATE!!!

Peter Capaldi has been named as the new Doctor. He's famous here in the UK, I don't know if he's know in the States. I had an inkling the new Dr would be an older man. I love Matt Smith so I'm not happy he's leaving but I think I'll give the 12 th Dr a chance!

How cool! Kinda bummed out Rupert Grint didn't get the part..oh well. Haven't seen an older Doctor in some time..well, to quote Mamma Odie, "This gon' be goooood!"
