THE NEW AND IMPROVED IMAGINATION:

For the 1st floor of imageworks, there would be just a general refurb of the exhibits and some new ones would be added. I have made up two new exhibits. The first one would be called:
CREATE A FIGMENT
This brand new exhibit would be a sure cash cow for Disney. What you do is get on a touch screen computer where you customize your very own figment! You can pick his color and such using your "imagination"! But the big draw to it is you are creating a stuffed animal! Once you create him, you will get a receipt printed from the computer that you take to the counter where they will put in your order. But because it would take a while to make it, they would ship it to your house. Another neat thing about it is that it would be like the webkinz program. If you are not familiar with the program, you buy stuffed animals that have codes on them, you put the code in online and then you can play games and stuff as your animal. The next thing for imageworks will be in another post soon!

For floor #2 of imageworks, there will be added exhibits, but the main draw will be:
YOUR IMAGINATION AND WHAT IT CAN DO
This experience is very similar to Sum of all thrills in innoventions. After you go through a normal line, you get to a preshow where you watch a screen explaining how we will go into your imagination and design your out of this world ride on a touch screen! An examle of a ride experience is… you are on a roller coaster, it derails, it falls into a poral to the Dino age, you are chased by the dinosaur, you get in a portal back to earth. There are certain options you can choose for how the ride will go. It would be put on a card like sum of all thrills and you could use it again without having to design another ride. The simulator would be like sum of all thrill's simulator!
The main ride of the pavillion will come later today or tomorrow!

To replace the 2nd floor Imageworks would be;
3000 A.D. (representing the futuristic year and the most famous 3,000 members of the Alliance of Dreamers)
This area would be entered by the same spiral staircase or elevator. The upstairs space would practically be divided into 3 sections; Dreamfinder's Department, Aberforth's Amusements, and Figment's Fun Follies.
DREAMFINDER'S DEPARTMENT
Here you would the ZeroN Gravity Labs (see http://leejinha.com/ZeroN), where you will be able to control floating objects in an enclosed area in front of you. You would also find Kaleidoscopes transported from the old Imageworks. There would of course be a similar Electraband to conduct through sensors, and Laser Liiterature where you would have to trace literary quotes with a laser.
ABERFORTH'S AMUSEMENTS
Here you would find the Living Forest where you would walk through a forest of interactive plants (see http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=EcRSKEIucjk). This also includes new and improved Stepping Tones and the Rainbow Sensor Tunnel. Another addition would be a Hall of Mirrors similar to a funhouse making you appear different in reflections.
FIGMENT'S FUN FOLLIES
In this area, you can participate in Chroma Cay, a play on words. It is an area similar to the old blue screen movie areas. Next, you could do What's Your Figment? where you are asked a series of questions to determine your Figment's name and look. Finally in this area would be Dream A Drawing, a place similar to Figment's Coloring Book. You can use a "paintbrush" to draw on a wall and color some pictures in.
My ride will come tomorrow! :)

Ok so I actually found some time and got some concept art I really wanted done! I still dont have the senses lab tour concept art but Its a pretty generic ride. Its slow and takes you through the wacky labs of all the 5 senses.

First is Journey to the Land of Lost Imagination. In this drawing I wanted to depict the changing landscape through the spreading of Imagination, the actual vehicle and the Dream Catcher. One thing I forgot to mention is the Ride vehicle will hold about 8 passengers and each person has a Imagination shooter to color in the surrounding objects!

http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh581/ctxak98/?action=view&current=053.jpg

Next is the Entrance in color! for some reason the first came out black and white. Hope this helps a little more!

Next is the Dream House layout and the concept for One little Spark. Hope its clear what your looking at!

Well that is officially all the time I have for concept! wish I could do more! But unfortunately can not. Thanks for taking a look!

So I just wanted to post here tat I will be dropping out of the competition. As much as I wanted to participate, outside factors and factors within the game itself have led to my decision to withdraw. For everyone who will be pushing on I wish you the best of luck.

Imagination Pavilion - Home of Figment
The Imagination Pavilion - Home of Figment is a huge expansion on the past land, adding 3 brand new attractions and emphasising on the star of the Pavilion, Figment! Although no alterations were made to the exterior facades or landscaping, everything inside the new and revolutionary. So the first attraction...
Journey Inside Your Imagination
This new version of the classic Imagination Pavilion dark ride adds a new story and a new revolutionary technology. So before I go into ride details, I want to explain this technology to you. It's called NeuroSky, but we'll be calling it the Imagiscanner! Here's a quick clip to explain it easily...

So basically, it's mind control. The main things I hope you noticed in that video were the Attention and Meditation readings it was able to read. So when you imagine, you pay attention right? And when your deep into imagination, your in a relaxed meditated state. The two exact reasons why this is perfect for an imagination ride. Guests will hear an adjustable headset with the technology in it, as well as 3-D glasses attached (As seen in picture below).
imsgiscanner.jpg
The 3-D will be used for background projections in all scenes and occasionally, a projected Figment. Guests will be required to imagine things to help out Figment in a journey into their own imagination. Confusing right? Don't worry, it will be further explained later. Now for the full guest experience.
Facade
I decided to stick with the current building, just a few new signage and a paint job that really emphasises on shades of purple.
Queue
Enter the Imagination Labs, quite similar to your normal scientific lab interiors, just a touch more purple. As you walk through different parts of the labs, you will encounter different experiments being performed, some even on you! For example, a monkey wearing an Imagiscanner and creating a giant banana. These wacky gags keep guests entertained for their short time in the queue (hopefully). Instead of heading straight to the loading zone, guests will enter a pre-show. This will be explained later in the story section, for now I need to explain the ride vehicle.
Ride Vehicle
The ride vehicle in Journey Inside Your Imagination is similar to the current vehicle, in the sense that it also rotates 360 degrees, the movement however is very different. The new system uses LPS, but not to throw guests around the room unpredictably. I chose LPS to evoke a feeling of real adventure in the guests, so they felt like they really were inside their imagination and not on a track in a show building. The vehicle now has 2 rows, 3 seats to each, and both raised at an elevation giving everyone a view. In front of each guests seat is a digital counter and a power gauge. These are used for recording imagination power and score (explained further later). Here is an image of the vehicle with annotations.
imaginationvehicle.jpg
Story
I wrote my ride up onto a script and am going to put the link below, it was easier than on the forums. I hope this isn't an problem for anyone. The pre-show and ride scripts should explain the story well but I will give you a quick summary. We are going to be the first to journey into our own imaginations and Figment is tagging along. He is going to show us how an idea goes from start to finish. Guests will be using their own imaginations (read by the Imagiscanners) to help Figment achieve this task. Figment will explain more about it in the pre-show. I also just want to note, my Figment is much different to the past versions. I ditched the curious child personality and went for a more smart mentor but left the funny unpredictable side of him. Here is the script, I hope you enjoy.
Exit Experience
When guests leve the exit zone they will reach a room wgere there imaginations scores are displayed and they return their imagiscanners. They will be given a rank based on their score, starting at smart thinker all the way up to Dreamfinder! As much as I hate them, they are a necessary part of a theme park so yes, there is a gift shop. But inside that gift shop is a staircase which leads up to a brand new experience in the imagination pavilion. This brings me to my next attraction.
Figment's House
The character we all love is now inviting us into his house, and for a special reason too! On this day many years ago, you imagined him. That's right, it's his birthday! Guests will be able to walk through his fun, imaginative house then meet him in a new show experience. Here is an overhead map of the walkthrough attraction.
figmenthouse.jpg
First the Garden. This beautiful outdoor setting is complete with green grass and Animatronic plants that move, dance and sing! Guests will then walk through the front door into the Curvy Hallway. The walls covered with paintings of Famous Figments (E.g. Albert Einstein's Figment, Walt Disney's Figment etc.) will slowly close in as you walk further until you are struggling to squeeze through! But once you do make it out, entire the trippy Room Of Mirrors. The walls are covered with mirrors facing in all different angles, even the floor and roof are covered. You won't know which way is right and which way is left. Now guests are faced with two options, let's start with the Moon Room. A room made entirely out of bouncing castle (or Moon Bounce, whatever it is in the states :p) But the name isn't there for no reason. Look up and see and amazing open view of the stars and a great big Moon! If you feel your too old for that, it's alright! Cool off in Figment's Bathroom/Laundry! Walk through a small corridor packed with spritzers, squirters and sprayers all leading up to a huge water fight tower made of showers! But if you don't feel like staying wet, don't stress it! Walk out the exit through Figment's human sized drier. It'll get you dry in time! Now let's see where Figment goes after a hard day of having fun, his Bedroom. Figment hates hot weather when he sleeps, so his room is stuck in permanent winter! Complete with snow storms and ice beds! Doesn't all that cold make you hungry? It sure does for Figment, luckily his Kitchen is across the hall! This 50's diner themed kitchen is complete with singing cutlery, plates and pots for a classic 50's tune! Tired of all this walking? Take a rest in the lounge room! Sit back on Figment's oversized couch and watch 3 different hand drawn Figment shorts on his oversized TV!
Okay, so we've enjoyed his stuff, time to meet the man himself, Figment! In Brainstorming with Figment guests will experience a Turtle Talk like experience, and help Figment celebrate his birthday. Here is a quick sketch of the experience which gives an example of the lighting used and seating. (Note: this was a very fast sketch, the scale is not accurate! No obese Figment will be included in the attraction!)
figmentconcept.jpg
Guests will exit the theatre and be given the choice of returning to the house or exiting back into the gift shop, maybe so they have time to watch the last brand new attraction in the Pavilion.
Imagination to Inspiration: A Circle-Vision 360 Presentation
This attraction is the replacement the current disaster known as Captain EO. It will transform the 3D cinema into a CircleVision theatre. I do not have any concepts or mapping for this attraction as it is very simple just to explain.
Waiting Room
Guests wait in a room with walls covered with memorabilia and personal belongings of the the film's three main stars. Walt Disney, Jim Henson and John Lasseter. 3 imaginative pioneers I felt were the perfect example of Imagination to Inspiration.
The Movie
The movie is hosted by the star of the Pavilion, Figment! The movie will be broken up into 3 segments based on a different person (Jim Henson, John Lasseter then Walt Disney). Each segment will explain the troubles and success they encountered and some of their best examples of imagination! These will be explained by their own Figment's of their Imagination. And no they will not all look like Figment, in fact they will be unique to each person. Jim will have a puppet Figment, John will have a 3D animated Figment and Walt will have a black and white hand drawn Figment. The final scene will be the 3 inspirations having a conversation with each other (using technology similar to that used to create Rod Serling in the Twilight Zone) and then telling the audience to never give up on their dreams. Imagination is endless, with it we can do anything, be anything and dream anything!
Exit Experience
3 Wax Figures of each inspiration in the movie will be located at the exit for pictures.
So that's my Pavilion, I hope you guys liked it. I was very busy with exams this week so it's not at the standard I had hoped but I feel it will work. I chose the attractions in a particular order to have guests leaving in a different state of mind than what they entered in. The attractions are supposed to show them the power of their imagination, show them what can be done, then inspire them to use it for good in the world! Something I feel is perfect for Epcot.
Thank You ;) WED99

This is pretty umm.....awesome! Great job!

JOURNEY THROUGH IMAGINATION
Facade;
The whole pavilion would remain the same but with the old blue and purple scheme. The Magic Eye Theater, however, will be provided with another glass pyramid, smaller than the others.
Ride Technology;
This ride would use the same system that is there now. The cars would get a new paint job with the color purple. The names of the vehicles, as commissioned by the A.D., are The Humorous Imaginative Notorious Kaboodle-carrier or T.H.I.N.K.
Queue;
The waiting area for this ride would enter at the same place as the original 1983 ride, with a similar setup. However, in this incarnation, you enter into a grand hall surrounded by paintings of previous and current members of the A.D., playing it as their headquarters. Such members include Walt Disney, Ronald Reagan, Albert Einstein, Dreamfinder, Aberforth Cogitare, Roy Disney, Tom Edison, Leonardo Da Vinci, Julia Child, Julius Caesar, and Charlemagne. Painted behind the dreamers are ideas of theirs. Painted next to them are what their figments look like. While wandering through there would be interactive models of ideas thought up by dreamers from around the world. You would be able to make them move or fly or do whatever they were meant to do. Eventually you will find yourself at the loading area, once again similar in placement to the 1983 one, though now themed to the A.D. Headquarters.
Ride is coming later today! Sorry for posting in parts! Traveling for Thanksgiving and using iPad. Happy Turkey Day! :)

OPERATION: IMAGINATION

Facade: same

Queue: you enter the doors to the imagination university which is where the ride takes place. Once you enter, you walk through halls of the university, and enter some rooms (examples are Mr. Tom Morrow's room about the future where you find an AA alien interacting with the guests and Mr. Yensid Tlaw's room of performing arts where there are clips of Disney movies playing) by the way, yensid tlaw is Walt Disney backwards! And eventually, you enter Professor Dreamfinder's room of general imagination. This is where the preshow is. In the room, there is an AA Dreamfinder and Figment tell you the story of the ride. It is that you are about to take the finals at the Imagination University! He states the horrible imaginations of the general person, but we may be the next great employee at the imagination institute. Then Figment causes some mayhem that turns the lights out and you hear Dreamfinder say that he will se you again before the test. Then you exit, and are right at the loading dock.

Ride technology: the same as before, but there are touch screens in the vehicles and there is only a car of four in each set so the ride is more imaginative!

The ride experience will come later, off to Walmart!

OPERATION: IMAGINATION

Ride Experience: you enter the 1st scene where there are AA Dreamfinder and Figment telling how to use the touch screens and telling you good luck. Then you enter your 1st test question: There is a party going on that is really boring. Then on the touch screen, there are two options for you to touch to make the party fun. You can pick to have a disco ball and dj come out and make the party hopping, or you can choose for a pizza delivery man to come. Depending on which one you choose, the ride experience will be different. If you choose pizza, you will hear a knocking on the door and figment saying pizza delivery, and if you choose disco, a disco ball will fall from the roof and figment will pop up dressed like a dj behind a turn table. Each one is an answer to the question, and no matter which one you choose, it will be the right answer. Now on to the next room/question:there is a boy in the mall shopping with his mom and he is really bored in a woman's clothes store. The options are starting a flash mob or having a mall cop chase occur in the store you are in. If you choose flash mob, figment and others would show up and start to dance different dances. If you choose mall cop, figment is the mall cop who is on a Segway chasing a burglar around the store. Now on to the next scene: there is a young girl who is at the dinner table who is forced to eat her broccoli. The options are have a bird (figment) crash through the window and grab it, or have the broccoli explode! Those two options are self explanatory. Then, while you are supposed to go to the last question, on your touch screen, you see an alert that the infamous Dream Stealer has arrived at the university and is about to steal the Dream Generator, which stores all of the worlds imagination! You make a few turns into the boiler room where the Dream Stealer is, and then come face to face with this 10 foot tall dragon beast. The dream stealer would be similar to the yeti. Then you are given two options on how to defeat the Dream Stealer: shoot him with pie, or curse it with a curse that makes him good. If you choose the 1st, then a TSMM like shooting thing pops up in front of you and you shoot him while effects make it look like he is being hit with pie. The 2nd shows figment with a wand in sorcerer Mickey clothes cursing it. Then in the next scene, you see Dreamfinder and Figment AA's and the other professors clapping for you because you beat the dream stealer AND graduated!! Then the ride goes to the unload area.
After you get off, you can get a copy of your diploma with your name on it and I will post a concept of a diploma for the ride later!

JOURNEY THROUGH IMAGINATION
Ride Experience;
First of all, this ride will have the same song as previous incarnations with some added verses. Each new verse will be noted.
The "interns" board their THINKs at a loading station that resembles a corridor at a sort of school, with wooden furnishings. After leaving the station through a "cannon", created using air pressure, fog, and sound effects, the riders enter a room with the Dreamfinder's blimp flying on a sky screen to the left (similar to original). You pass through this scene and on into a rotating scene very similar to the original where you are introduced to Dreamfinder and Figment. The scene would be slower to account for an extra verse to "One Little Spark" where Dreamfinder holds up a whimsical wanted poster with Maldominus the Nightmare Maker. The verse goes like this (and if you can, sing it to the tune);
"Maldominus,
That is his name,
The evil one,
Who rules by flame,
He turns all dreams into nightmares,
You should watch out,
He has no cares!"
As that scene is completed, the THINKs proceed onto the exterior of the Dreamport, painted with whimsical gold with small, detail effects going off such as steam coming out of pipes and chimneys. The Dreamfinder's blimp would be filling the building with dreams. You would go through an entrance archway to the interior of the Dreamport. This would be like a shorter version of the original, with Literature, Arts, Film, etc. and small, but amazing, imaginative effects to represent each one. Above you would be dreams twinkling on the ceiling. Next, the ride vehicles would pass through the Dreamport's back door, only to find Maldominus and his demon figment, Servus, standing outside the Dreamport with their own evil looking nightmare blimp. Opposite to the Dream-Mobile, the Nightmare-Mobile is seen removing dreams through a tube and into a container on the blimp. As you proceed, you enter the next scene where the evil ambassador sits on his Nightmare-Mobile, vice-versa of the scene where you meet Dreamfinder. His voice is a creepy Paul Frees/Boris Karloff one. Here, Maldominus, the Nightmare Maker, sings this verse;
"Dreams are for chums,
They're really sappy,
They're not that fun,
What makes you happy?
Nightmares are great,
There really are a few,
Dreams are for chums,
Just telling you!"
You continue on by the "Scare-Mobile" Into a cave full of small devils, ghouls, and ghosts (AAs) that bring forth a sense of foreboding. In the corner of the cave, you would see the Nightmare Maker standing next to a bonfire with an AA Servus "flying" (a la Mary Poppins) to the side of him. All around them in small alcoves fire is burnig. He is taking glimmering dreams in a bucket and stumping them into the fire while singing;
"One little spark,
That's all it takes,
Nightmares from dreams,
That's what this makes,
Just take a dream,
And put it in the dark,
That's what you need,
To get a spark!"
Soon you are past the Cave of Nightmares and find yourself again in the sky, looking at the Dream-Mobile, Dreamfinder, and Figment. The sky is grey and fog is all round. Lightning effects strike as Dreamfinder inquisits about all of the crushed dreams. He figures all these nightmares must have come from Maldominus. The next scene has the Dream-Mobile on one side of the track with the Nightmare-Mobile on the other. Dreamfinder is laughing and making jokes as Figment sprays the Nightmare Maker with "dreams" (LED lights), and using a new projection effect (similar to Legend of Jack Sparrow at DHS), the Nightmare-Mobile set is dimmed and a new, white and cheerful Maldominus is shown with a special figment. His blimp is white as is his dragon, while the sky is now clear and sunny. Dreamfinder declares he will now be known as Maldominus the Thinker as your ride vehicle would proceed to a room full of clouds with a silhouette of the Dream-Mobile soaring in the sky. The THINKs would then continue on into the "sky dome", a dome of screens with the sky and clouds. Inside some clouds, new inventions, ideas, and Figments interpretations of the ride are shown. In the center of the room is a cloud with Figment on it as he sings "One Little Spark". Fog covers the ground. After you exit this room, you practically enter a "descent". You are still in the sky but the sun has began to set, causing a pink tint. To the right of the THINKs is Figment, once again floating on a cloud but now holding a camera and taking your picture. A screen showing you is contained in a "cloud" next to the "flying" dragon. To the left, Dreamfinder and Maldominus the Thinker are each sitting in their mobiles, the Dream-Mobile and the Think-Mobile. Together, they finish up the song "One Little Spark". The ride vehicles would then exit the room to find the unload station.
Exit Experience;
You would find the same staircase that was used before leading upstairs to 3000 A.D. (see previous post).
Done. :D

I will be posting my proposal in parts starting with;
USING YOUR IMAGINATION
This would be a show to replace Captain EO in the Magic Eye Theater. Using Your Imagination would begin with guests entering the theater. Shortly after, an audio-animatronic professor "walks" on stage (like an improved version of Ben Franklin) in front of the screen. He introduces himself as Aberforth Cogitare, a whimsical philosopher and a member of A.D. (Alliance of Dreamers). He brings the "giant computer" (screen) to life with a voice command. He begins a presentation about the imagination and other members of the A.D. (including Dreamfinder, Walter Disney, Albert Einstein, and sadly Maldominus the Nightmare Maker). Suddenly, the presentation is interrupted by an emergency video call from Dreamfinder. He is in the future and all imagination has run out. Dreamfinder transports everyone in the theater to the future using in theater effects such as fog, lasers, and effects in the seats. Once there, the residents of the theater travel through a dark, gloomy city with Dreamfinder (on the screen). Along the way, the audience, Dreamfinder, and Professor Cogitare spread the dreams of many across the land so everybody's imagination is reinvigorated. Travelling back through time, you find yourselves back in the regular theater with Professor Cogitare congratulating you on your success in the field of imaginatology. Then the audience exits.
