LOL - At Six Flags New England 2 summers ago, the place was infested with bees the whole summer. Too bad they don't have the same pest control team that Disney does.

I remember that! Lol, they have yellow jackets at Lake Compounce every summer. There was also a wasp infestation on the ferris wheel. I hated that summer!

I hope they relocated them and not just destroyed the hive. Bees are dying out right now and we need to preserve bees, not kill them. They are vital to the pollination of about 70% of the food we eat.

if they would film the removal, it would be good marketing for environmental awarness, and probably fairly comical

This reminds me (sorta).. I worked at Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT a few summers back. They decided to switch to GreenWorks cleaning supplies. The only problem with that is.. it is made from plant-based ingredients and oils! Bees were literally all over the place. The following summer, they switched back to what they were using previously. That resulted in no bees!

Back on topic, I would probably faint if I saw a hive that big in person. It's still up in the air as to if I am allergic or not. 50/50 chance.. knock on wood I don't find out while I'm in WDW later this week.. :ROFLOL:

Yea lake compounce is really bad. I went there a couple years ago too and got stung a bunch of times walking on to Boulderdash. I haven't been back since.
