Yeah kongfrontation was great,why don't Disney fix yeti,don't get it,and please don't say too expensive,surely they've got the technology for it to be even better, know I keep saying it but no way walt would put up with that ,that would be fixed and better than ever,simple!so come on Disney fix it!!!

My understanding is that the Kongfrontation figure was about three times as large as the Everest Yeti, albeit a fraction of its complexity or power.

It looks like you're right! But it appears that while the kong animatronic was larger, it was not 3 times larger, its closer 1 1/2 times.

They can, but it would require closing EE down for an extended period of time. Pandora helps take the heat off (especially FoP) but guests will still be upset if one of DAK's most popular E-Tickets is down for their vacation. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love to experience the Yeti in A-Mode (I never have) but that's the likely reasoning.

Kong definitely seems enormous in comparison to the Yeti–but IA that the Yeti is more ambitious, more technically impressive. That dragon beneath DLP's castle is absolutely beautiful as well.

The Yeti they did build is an amazing piece of engineering and quite large. Too bad it is broken.

Wether it's the base the Yeti is on, or the Yeti itself, I'd hardly call it "amazing engineering" considering how quickly it failed, and subsequently, how long it has remained broken...which more or less indicate the major costs to repair this "amazing feat of engineering".

This stuff kills me, I mean the concept art always shows what was supposed to be and we compare it to what we got and just wonder WHY!!!!!! Why can't they wow us. Oh, not to mention the yeti isn't even working.
