Anyone else playing mass Effect 2? So far I love it, the game improves on the first in a lot of different areas. Im amazed at how all the little side quests (and major quests) you did from the first one have been worked into the sequel. It should be a game of the year candidate.

i think the game is epic.

however in my opinion, i don't think any of the levels are nearly as large as some from the first game. and there are not quite as many quests you can take from talking to people.

but aside from those small things. the game is amazing.

Yea I agree. The quests that are there, as a whole are better than the first game. It seems they went for quality over quantity since so many people complained about generic "cookie cutter" quests. But remember that bioware is owned by EA now and because of that I think we will see more downloadable content that should have been in the game to start. I dont know about you but I kind of miss the Mako a bit. It was a heck of a lot better than the planet scanning.

I have not done Mass effect yet. I do not really care for the third person shooter format. However, I have heard so many good things about this series I plan on picking up Mass Effect 1 and 2 after I finish Bioshock 2.

You need to play them. They really aren't "shooters" per say, anyway. I mean yes, the combat is, but it's much more tactical than your average shooter.

And 2 is possibly the greatest game I've ever played. I haven'tfinished, but as of now it's at the top of my list.

Finished the game last night.

It's officially my favorite game ever!:sohappy:
Yea I finished then too. I probably should have read to find out the game lets you continue after you beat it, unkike the first. I had done every quest before I went to the final battle so I had nothing to do after I won. Oh well just have to wait for the downloadable content. Did your team make it through the last mission? I had to do it a second time for everyone to make it.

So am I. The thing has been sitting on my desk unopened and taunting me. My schedule has been so hectic lately that I have not even had the chance to unbox it.

The Solarian, Samara, and Legion died.

I'm playing it again, all the way through, though.

Just started on insane with my other ME1 character. That was my renegade character. I am finding Mordins assistant and curing the plague and so far in that short time a few things have been different than my 1st playthrough.

Just make sure you get all the ship upgrades and everyone is loyal for the suicide run.

I did, and they were, but it's possible to pick the wrong people for jobs which leads to them, or someone else, getting killed.
Yea a lot has to do with the position you put them in. All the loyalty and upgrades do are make them more likely to live. Are you playing the 2nd time on insane? Man its A LOT harder, more so than ME1 was on the hardest setting.

I finished the other day. It is no where near as good as ME1. It was enjoyable, but that is about it. There are no repercussions for going one way or another. what i mean is you get a mission of a ship being attacked by Reapers or Geth. If you don't go right away, it will still be there 10 missions down the road. It just seemed far too linear.

This is a great game.. the only complaint i have about it is the lack of gamepad support... the game works perfectly fine with a controller on the Xbox 360, yet we PC gamers are stuck with the keyboard and mouse...
