Masks

All indoor locations (attractions, restaurants, shops, restrooms, resorts, etc.) and on transportation (buses, monorails, Skyliner.)

Outdoors is mask optional.
So do I wear them on rides? We are going the beginning of November. I can not find any information on rides and masking.

Yes, the only ride I know of that you don't is Slinky Dog Dash, which is strange because you do on Expedition Everest.
No mask on attractions where the *ride and queue* are fully outdoors. That's why you mask on Everest, but not on Slinky. Most rides have some portion of the queue inside.

If you go on the WDW website, it has the masking policy front and center. Fairly easy to locate.

It's easy to locate but it's not AT ALL clear what it means to someone who hasn't been to the parks. I'd even say it's borderline inaccurate.

For example "Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas." False. Dumbo is outdoors, but face masks are required because parts of the Dumbo queue are indoors.

This is what is confusing ^ right here. I figured if someone had been there recently they would have better knowledge as to what is and is not considered inside. I would have assumed Dumbo was outside and no mask because I forgot about you wind in and out of “circus” indoors.

This is my second trip this year and we have been there plenty (DVC members) but I just couldn’t wrap my mind around what Disney actually meant.

If you feel air conditioning any time from entering the gate of the attraction to exiting the attraction, the entire attraction is considered indoors.

Thank you to all who have answered the OP's specific question, especially those who have visited recently so have first hand knowledge of how the rules are actually implemented "in person."

And a bigger thank-you for not straying OT into yet another mask/covid debate. :)

Indoors and on transportation.
When in a ride queue that starts outside you have to have it on by the time you arrive to the indoor portion of the line.
I also found on some transportation it seemed like you did not really need it.
For example on the boat from Poly to MK the captain was not wearing his so we just followed his lead.
And on the Skyliner if you're not sharing a car its not necessary.
Our rule basically became look at the CM's. If they were wearing a mask we did as well and if they weren't we did not.
This even went for outdoors if we were ordering food or asking a question. CM had a mask we felt we should as well and if they didn't we felt like we didn't.

Just returned and the CM's continue to tell those not wearing masks entering attractions that they have to be put on. Those walking towards buildings the CM's tell them as they approach the doors masks must be on to enter. This trip I saw no one ignoring the CM's or giving them a difficult time about it.
