So what isn’t Universal actively thinking of replacing at this point?

Potter, Jurassic Park for sure. Maybe some combo of Hollywood/New York, though both are prone to being more annexed. Probably not Seuss. That seems about it.

This is the downside of throwing all your eggs in the IP basket. Unless you nurture the IP, eventually it will be outdated. Some IP will just not last long to justify keeping an expensive attraction around for decades (see: Men in Black, Twister, Bourne, Terminator). Disney properties are the outlier.

Indeed, just about the only company that seems capable of cultivating their IP on a comparable basis is Nintendo.

It is questionable if Universal actually is actively thinking replacing Marvel in IOA due to the source in question. Anything Corless with Universal info needs to be backup by Universal themselves or other sources.

Corless since January or starting in the late part of 2024 had been in the back pocket of Disney. He made an announcement on his youtube channel back in January that he's having a business relationship with Disney. What I mean by that is Corless has been been to Disney Media events and been getting extra perks for Disney. Corless also has been accused of changing his stance on stuff considering stuff with Disney. People could tell due to how he acts on youtube such as being less critical on Disney compared to the past.

Also Corless is known to like Disney way more than Universal based on the comments he's been making for the last year and that means it is very likely for him to report a rumor to benefit Disney.

Not doubting anything you're claiming here. I have no idea who Corless is. But I'm having trouble finding how Disney would benefit from this rumor if it's not even remotely true.

Corless is someone that some long term members heard of it. You can't a link from his site to this forum. He owns a Disney website and a youtube channel that you can't link from his website to this forum. There is more than website that is referred to as the website that shall not be named and his website one of them.

He was a member here at WDWMAGIC that got banned a long time ago. There has bad blood between him and the administrator of this site. and he used rumors that got their site here at WDWMAGIC in the past. He also created rumors that didn't involve WDW Magic, but less said the better.

The Marvel Rumor in question is someone Corless has a source for, but hasn't revealed who. He's reporting it because hopes it is accurate because having Marvel benefits WDW in his eyes.

I saw this rumor on WDW NT. This website doesn't allow people to link to the site I mentioned either. ITM got a bad reputation after the website I mentioned did. ITM became click bait central after Ricky Brigante sold the site in 2018.

Reddit doesn't allow people to post links from ITM, Corless's website and The DisInsider.

I feel like It's gonna happen eventually, I just hope they find a suitable replacement for their awesome spider man ride. If It wasn't with Six Flags I'd say partner with DC but I think the Six Flags Merger may be holding onto that for improved quality Batman etc rides. One would certainly think that Magic Mountain could use the boost to compete with the theming of the other area parks. It's like the least themed theme park in the LA area.
