So I know their is currently a deal with Universal that won't allow any Marvel Land East of the Mississippi but with the recent Disney/Fox merger, I wanted to speculate on this and perhaps dream a little. What if Disney was able to offer Universal a deal that they couldn't refusing allowing the use of Marvel Land in Orlando. I would think that the offers would be IP's from the fox mergers such as Alien, Simpsons, and Planet of the Apes along with a dump truck full of cash. If this deal could get done where would a Marvel Land be placed?

My vote (if land is not earmarked for a 5th park) would be in DHS. I would propose a rework of the front of the park with a major land expansion.

1) I would re purpose the existing Indiana Jones Stunts show to a new Marvel Heroes Stunt Spectacular. This show would of course feature the heroes from the Avengers but also some of the lesser known heroes from the MCU. The final battle would feature a standoff against Thanos where of course the Heroes would win. This show will also feature some of the lesser known Avengers. Show would add heavy effects along with projection mapping. A limited amount of guests could sign up for a behind the scene meet and greet after the show. Coded in Yellow in pic below

2) Re-purpose Backlot Express to a new quick service and merch combo. This building would be given a heavy dose of Stark Industries overlay theming. The building would add a 2nd floor overlook with escalators that take guest high above Marvel land for a unique perspective. Special Stark Industries Super Hero themed beverages would be served here. Perhaps even a people mover type of system here that would allow you to get a glimpse of the park from high above. Purple Coded Below

3) Re-purpose Star Tours to a new Black Panther attraction. Climb on board a futuristic ride vehicle where you and Black Panther try to protect the ever important vibranium. Convert front of the attraction/queue area to water fall scene where you enter the main show building behind the falls. Blue Coded Below

4) A more family friendly swings attraction with a thrilling light and sound effects package. the swing could have a partial dome around the attraction with some projection mapping giving you the feeling you are flying with superheroes. Coded black below

5) Add the announced Spiderman Swinging attraction coming to DCA or the rumored Captain America VR Shield attraction. This would be built in phase two of the project utilizing new expansion space coded green below

6) And last of course, is the Avengers Coaster coming to Hong Kong and DCA. I think that each of these coasters could have a slightly different story and perhaps and random end scene. This new coaster will have the iconic stark industry look and will feature 360 rotations, projection mapping and some elements of interactive interface. This coaster will be built in phase three and will utilize expansion pad parking lot area. Coded red below

7) Further out and outlined in grey below is a possible plot for a Marvel boutique hotel. Pending the success of the Star Wars hotel, this new Marvel themed experience could be constructed just outside the Marvel Land and would offer a completely unique CMU experience similar to star wars. Guests that stay at the hotel will earn different types of superhero status and would be be able to utilize this is come creative ways at the land itself.

This was a fun exercise and one that I think would be incredibly popular among guests. In this scenario, besides costs, the other factor would be what would happen to Indianian Jones. Either move to the other side of the park or perhaps think larger again at DAK and add a land there with the proposed boat ride attraction.

What are the odds that Disney would be able to get the Marvel rights back from Universes. Would you visits this land?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Blue sky is always fun and you've got some good ideas. As much as I would hate it, I think it would actually make more sense to put a marvel land at the end of sunset blvd in this scenario. I say that just for spacing purposes so you don't have SW and marvel overloading that side of the park. There they could retheme ToT, RNRC and plenty of land with the fantasmic and BatB theaters.

Ideally to me if they'd gotten marvel in fl, I'd have put all marvel and SW in a 5th park and kept HS as a semi boutique park with quality attractions and expand Indy there. More than enough SW and Marvel for their own park and I fear in 8-10 years we are going to get SW somewhere else we don't really want it.

Thanks for the welcome. I did fear that this scenario would over balance the park and agree that a version of this could work on the Sunset Blvd side as well. I mean they did announce a refurb coming to IJ Stunt Show so perhaps they have big IJ expansion plans for this area witha a new E Ticket attraction. DHS could use a outdoor boat ride and a next gen IJ attraction may be worth adding into that parking lot space. Just don't like all the Star Wars scattered throughout the park once GE opens. They have to have bigger plans for Star Tours.

As far as the Sunset Blvd area, I've never been a fan of re theming TOT but with the new CBS Twilight Zone show it may be the right time. Obviously it the right time for Aerosmith as this IP is very dated. DHS does have that huge undeveloped parcel in waiting and what better IP does Disney have than Marvel to place there. Tons of neat possibilities for a Marvel XL Land.

As far as the Rock N Roller Coaster re skin, I just can't see this becoming a Monster or Incredible branded attraction . The Speed and loops just don't yield to a family friendly attraction IMO.
