How many times do you get to see something like this ????

The Space Shuttle may have been waved off for a landing today but a historic Mark IV monorail will be coming in from Georgia via I-4 this afternoon. The monorail, which was used at DisneyWorld, will be on its final leg of the trip from Sanford to south Orlando at 4:45 p.m. Depending on traffic, the monorail should be near downtown by 5:15 with arrival at its final destination around 6 p.m. Times are approximate, given Orlando’s traffic. The monorail will be put on display at MouseSurplus, a clearinghouse of memorabilia, artifacts, signage and one-of-a-kind items from the Disney theme parks and cruise line at 1217 Spruce Ave., Orlando, FL.

I think that is cool news. I wish I could see it coming down the road. Imagine how many people it is going to pass on the roads. Thanks for the info. Maybe somebody could take pics. :)

Mouse surplus used to post on here - not sure if he's still around.

Anyways, great way to spy on what the mouse is up to. Jazz Club banners were on sale there before the announcement of its closure to make Raglan Road. When 20K was removed, they had all the props and such. When the LAND closed they had everything from decor at the food place to food court trays to signs for the restrooms.

I wonder what we'll get from the Living Seas.

Do I sense Monorail expansion here? Take the old retire Monorials, strap them to flat bed trucks and shuttle people around.... No need for tracks...

Just an idea :lookaroun

Hello Honey,
I know we were looking at a larger car for you and the kids, and I know you really liked that mini van, but I was thinking..... What about a Mark IV Monorail, retro fitted with wheels....

hello? hello?

It got media coverage! One TV station put a chopper up to cover it. Here is a photo from the interstate
