Well the hub work has been going on for some time, since before oct so you knew that one. As for you other issues you are upset about the wrong thing, you should be happy rides are getting the work they need, you should be angry disney hasn't built enough new attractions to offset these closures.

I'm terribly sorry about the inconvenience to you. I can understand the disappointment about favorite rides being closed during the time you want to visit. But WDW does have to refurb it's attractions. I suggest you look at WDWMagic's refurb schedule (http://www.wdwmagic.com/refurbishments.htm) and do your best to work around it. You indicate you're there March 4-8. Little Mermaid is closed through March 6. PPF is closed March 5-6 and Big Thunder March 4-7. Maybe you can go to MK on March 7-8 for Little Mermaid and PPF or March 8 for all three? But you do arrive in time for the opening of the Epcot Flower and Garden festival. All I can say is resolve to enjoy yourself. There is plenty to do at WDW. Good luck!

?????? I'm not being defensive at all................like, what????? lol
I think maybe they meant hostile, of course tone is something very difficult to translate over text instead of speech, so you may have meant nothing at all. I understand this is a once in a lifetime trip for you, but I think maybe experiencing what else is out there might help. I used to be a full on pixie dust addict and still am to a degree, but after experiencing several other parks I have started to see flaws in what disney offers in Florida. My most recent trip to Florida my wife and myself didnt even stay on disney property, we stayed at universal cabana bay beach resort which blows disney value resorts out of the water, we only spent one day on disney property and that was to go to the MK and that ended up being the worst day of our vacation.

Hey, just want to say that maybe BTMRR has new date for refurbishment because while setuping new FP+ this morning (Peter Pan FP+ has been cancelled by WDW for March 5th ), BTRRM was in the choices to make as FP+ for March 5th. They might have added 7D too since there was lot of FP+ for March 5th

Everyone needs to vent. It sure is a let down when an attraction, (or several ) you were looking forward to going on are closed for refurb. Its happened to all of us. Theres always going to be refurbs somewhere on property and unfortunately its the very rides you wanted to go on. Instead of letting these closures ruin your time and affect your B-day attitude, plan some other things to do that will excite you and not reflect on the negative. Treat yourself to a tour or special meal, gift, but do something that will give you back that "Hey its my B-day and I'm going to have a blast" feeling.

Sorry, but you are just complaining like the rest of the 1 visit Disney "know it alls" that think 1 closure means they should get a full refund and come back saying "Disney is not all that."

Guess what? Disney has to close things for maintenance. In fact, they should do so more often Everything you mentioned is either not closed during your trip or only closed part of your trip...so you really have no reason to complain.

They have to do some maintenance and although disappointing, what do you expect? The Hub is probably the biggest project at MK now and should be a much need "space" improvement (Although I don't necessarily love the layout change).

Let's face it. MK especially needs more room to move and the Hub is helping. True Disney fans will recognize the long term benefit and be happy on their next trip. I want them to completely redo EPCOT and I'm willing for them to close the ENTIRE park during my trip if they had to.
